Is it raining down heavily now in Sydney? Would love to choose Heeney but have a weird feeling that CEY will smash it tomorrow.
I've been in the CBD all day MMM, and it's certainly not raining heavily. Has been light rain for a few hours in the city. It's wet but it hasn't been coming down in these parts for a while.

Dunstall now saying the rain has stopped at the ground as well.

Didn't see the game so don't know just how uncomfortable he looked, but this is pretty much why I changed my mind at the last minute and put GAJ in... he's like pizza (even when it's bad it's good)

The biggest thing I can say about Melbourne today is, in the past 4 years, when a side came at us like GC did early in the last quarter, we would have found a way to lose the game!
They played really well today. I was really impressed.

It's so good for the comp to have Melbourne competitive I reckon.

Thanks IDIG. I have the same 7 players + Bennell so they were easy to find.

Concerns over Lumumba and Salem if they struggle to get disposals when the side has a high scoring win. At least Lumumba went at 100% de and was 24pts better than McKenzie, who I was close to selecting.

Happy for the long suffering Melbourne fans to start the season well. Knew Hogan was a quality player having seen all his VFL games. They can build there future around him and didn't offload their captain, pick 4 and $7m to get him.

Where's the good old x4 scaling days when you need them?

Sorry to say SC Fanatic but Ablett has a combined total of 1 mark and tackle for the game, which is hugely alarming. If I expected that I definitely wouldn't have picked him as it bodes poorly for the season ahead unless he improves his shoulder quickly.
He got crunched early and will take confidence in this game.

118 for Ablett.

As an owner, I'll definitely take that. Not the win the non-Ablett owners were hoping for at half time.

Agreed!
Hogan looks like a star! Crashed a few packs and good around the ground by the looks of it.
