Cheers, I'm contemplating the strategy. Although i know i'm too young and dumb to use it wisely
Never too young, you might surprise yourself. Everything is a learning experience in life and in SuperCoach.

I will probably give it a go, but boy Stevy J is really annoying with his 1 week out.

God that week is killing me. With no previous attempts I don't actually know signs and hints towards a particular player.
Maybe i will just count Byrnes as on. Anyway I'm planning to trade him early

What do you think of using N.Roo for the first round vs Gold Coast then swapping to stevey j?
With scores of 119 and 159 he should tear it up.

I am probably a bit old school, but I don't really like the idea of pinch hitting for just one week. I reckon you need at least 4 to 5 weeks to make it worthwhile.

Haha im too young and dumb, you're too old school. Classic

I'm feeling the same way, its not just about the score. That's a massive risk playing for one weeks score. When maybe you can get a consistent keeper that will get 10 points less in the particular week. The point of the hitter is too get you money and points quickly. Money being the key. Once you blow off the player you can upgrade to a consistent high scorer.

Well could keep him for 4 games. He plays GC,GWS Richmond and Essendon in his first 4 games.

I guess you could but I would still look for a little more money out of one. Only 1 price increase before you turf him probably isn't enough. Would be looking for 2 or 3 more.
Although i have never tried this tactic so i'm far from an expert

I'm working on a new article, that I hope will be the ultimate guide to anyone thinking of using a Pinch Hitter strategy.
It's called: "The search for Flat Track Bullies........."
I hope to have it up for everyone around 8am tomorrow. :)

What are everyone thoughts on Ryan O'Keefe as a pinch hitter for the first few rounds of the season. Sydney play both Gold Coast and GWS in their first two rounds. He didn't have a good start to the year last season, but that was because he had no pre-season, however he has been solid so far in the NAB cup. Even if it is only for like the first 4-5 matches, and then upgrade to someone such as a J.Selwood or JPK.

His FTB of +17.6% and his draw say he's one of the better options.

Sorry, I meant Nick Riewolt -.-
Much better option! Still not perfect, though. Has 2 out of his first 4 as easy games, then 3 tough ones in a row, followed by 2 out of 3 easy ones.

What about using a Dempsey for example as a pinch hitter? He is very injury prone but tends to always score well when he actually plays (based on defenders scores that is ... ). Or another injury prone player could also work the same ... J
Did well first game!
