Edit - Below post added here just because we keep on referring to it.

For the most part, I was pretty accurate with the discounts, I found. 'Relevant' players such as Leuenberger and Kreuzer seemed to have discount restrictions placed on them by Virtual Sports, no doubt by their consideration for the 'greater good' of the game. In other words, so not absolutely everyone had them. I'll have a quick analysis tomorrow with this years set of data and work out if the discount formula has changed. But until then, here's last years that I based my spreadsheet off (absolutely no idea if it's changed):

6 or 7 games: 10% off if average over 60
4 or 5 games: 20% off if average over 60
3 games: 30% off if average over 60, 20% off if average from 50-60, 10% off if average 40-50
2 games: 30% off if average over 60, 20% off if average from 50-60, 15% off if average 40-50
1 game: 30% off if average over 60, 20% off if average over 35
0 games: 30% off last season average

And for what it's worth, at this stage, I have every plan to re-do that excel spreadsheet again for the 2016 season. Just as long as enough people found it useful..

Had O'Meara had a preseason this year and not got injured I would've had him in my midfield.

That's around $27k discount, and if Ablett and O'Meara are back and fit, Prestia will be far from popular, I would think. He will still be a touch over $540k, and that's no bargain.

Didn't realise the discount were so stingy, no way I'm touching him at that price now. Have you noticed any generic rule when it comes to discounts and games played Rowsus? Or is this public knowledge and I've just never seen it

With you all the way on this one GG. Had a place in my midfield prior to his injury too, him and Wines will be future SC stars, I say that with the utmost confidence. The rare air of 115-130+ppg in within their ability I'm sure, probably not in the next 1-2 years, but gee they look impressive when fully fit. Even when I say they may still be 40-60 games away from their sweet spot, I won't be hesitating to select them at the start of next year, and who knows, one of them may even come along in leaps and bounds sooner than we think, but I doubt it.

Blicavs I doubt will be a premium as much as loved his work this season.
I suspect next year in SC he will be just a MID in the categories.
Of course if Stanley is out, McIntosh, Simpson and Vardy he may just play more than one game as a genuine ruck to get a dual status again.
I personally expecting Josh Walker to play ruck mostly this week given their ruck stocks are up ****e creek. Unless they got any way of nominating Lucey as a nominated rookie this week. I think they will only have Blicavs pinch hit a few hitouts. Probably not enough over the full season to be allowed MID/RUC again. Really think we are looking at just MID for him next season and to be considering a premium mid he would still need to average over 110 I would have thought. He is presently averaging around 100. I'm not expecting him to go higher but will be happy if he does.

There are one two here at the site, that have done good work on discounted prices. My knowledge is totally down to their work. In general, you need to play less than 7 games to get a discount, and the more you miss, the better the discount.

There are one two here at the site, that have done good work on discounted prices. My knowledge is totally down to their work. In general, you need to play less than 7 games to get a discount, and the more you miss, the better the discount.

Yeah there are a couple here that work all the players out and are fairly accurate at it. This pre season Erich provided an excel file with all the prices which was awesome for those of us who still obsess over SC during the October to January period!

I'm sure there will be a thread on here with access to the player prices over summer again.
