Currently pondering my midfield.

Priddis and Libba or Rocky and Wines. I have the cash to cover the difference in pricing but will I get value for it?

I would go for Rocky and Libba and put the saved cash to good use.

Yep put me down for Rocky and Wines but reckon Libba is definitely worth a team structure rejig to accommodate... as weird as that sounds.

KK is my favourite from that bunch and I also like Yeo.

I will personally be steering away from Rance and other key defenders this year after having so many of them last year and experiencing their rollercoaster rides.

Dahlhaus over Merrett though you think?
I think Dahl is possibly slightly overpriced but more then likely will be a top 6 forward. Merrett could prove real value though so i guess it depends what purpose they serve in your team. For what its worth Dahl is in my current team at F3 and Merrett hasnt got a look in so far.

Hard to disagree with this but i've gone with Zach cos he wears red and black :p

I have absolutely no stats to support this statement but i feel like the doggys will come down to earth somewhat after last year with their much tougher draw, and will probably win less games which may mean a drop for Dahl.

Add a key midfielder returning and which possibly means less rotations for Dahl (granted diff types of players anyway) and i've gone Zachy on his upside. Training with the midfield group i've read and expected to play a mainly midfield role, especially with an 'ageing' Jobe I can see him doing well with our easier draw.

For now that is.. but i have barlow and lids in and out of my team depending on structure

No still the Yeo and Dahlhaus option.
Was just explaining that I am not so keen on McVeigh, but I do still like Merrett as an option.
I think BB is asking your opening on Dahl v Zerrett as an x v y.

Yeah, either way I'd still go Dahlhaus, he's less risky than Merrett and Champion Data seem to give him points for fun lol. Remember watching his games and his SC score would go through the roof from doing nothing lol. Hahah

Yeo & Dahlhaus v McVeigh & Z Merrett
im with goodie...yeo and dahlhaus for me as well. if they both can get more time in the midfield they will be really good buys for the season. i dont know alot about merritt but i heard mcveigh preseason has been delayed.

Lmfao. it's always better to have the players they give points to for fun...it makes SC much more enjoyable :D

Cheers for all the replies guys.

I am feeling quite settled with most of my selections but there is just one spot that I can't quite decide and my structure would change depending on which way I go.

I'll simplify it with this question;

Who do you think will score the most points this year out of McVeigh, Dahlhaus or Z Merrett?

if their prices aren't a consideration i would have to say McVeigh assuming he is right to go in round 1

Barlow/KK vs Montagna/Smith

To be honest it's more just a hypothetical cos i can't bring myself to feel completely sold on all 4 players.

Dahlhaus, Merrett McVeigh for me in that order. Not sure McVeigh will play all the games (potential rests) and will probably average similar to Merrett who I reckon will play almost all (baring injury). But I think Dahlhaus won't miss and average higher than the other two also.
