Certainly is! Don't see any other direction but up for him. 120+ average over 22 games. Ultra durable too.
This wells business has really thrown a spanner in the works!!!
Agreed, Danger is a gun and can see exactly what Bomber has said come true this year. 120+ for me at the 22. Locked and loaded.
In my mind, there's no way you should be trading out Danger just to accommodate Wells, if you want Wells, I'm pretty sure there would be other, better ways to achieve getting him into your side.

Yeah it means trading out a premium for a mid pricer and then upgrading a rookie to wells. Haha don't want to do that, but can not having wells if he fires be a potentially derailing supercoach moment? Hmm

Went to Ports internal today for anyone that's interested.

Wingard BoG kicked 3 and probably should have kicked 5 just looked a cut above.

Westhoff racked them up as well floating across half forward and up onto the wings.

Sam Gray played entirely in the guts H2H with Boak and maybe took the chocolates. Watch him in the NAB if he plays that role he'll come into F4 consideration for me.

Polec looks to be moving well but his disposal was a bit dodgy, shaking the cobwebs I suspect. Pretty good for a bloke that hasn't played in about a year.

Toumpas is a long way from getting a game, needs to work on his tank quite a bit.

Lobbe played like absolute crap, was soundly beaten by Dougal Howard. Howard played really well kicked a couple and got around the ground. Has been groomed as a KPF so was interesting to see him play most of his minutes in the ruck.

Wines was below par too, copped a lot of attention.

Bloke I looked at the most was Ah Chee turning into a really powerful midfielder and just runs all day. Gone from borderline best 22 to starting 18 over the pre season IMO.

Wasn't sure where to put this so Mods feel free to place it in the correct thread.

Aside from Wells I can't see myself picking any other players around that 200-250k mark as he is the only one I can think of with runs on the board.

I have no interest at all in the high priced first year rookies in particular

I don't think there are any Cripps types on the radar this year either.
Agreed mate. Not sure if any of the 200k rookies can do a Cripps this year. Parish (and maybe Crowley) the ones I'm keen to see in NAB.

Great write up mate. Is Lobbe's performance enough to scare one away from him? I have real concerns with him at even my R2.
Watch him in the NAB mate, played on the "weak" team so hard to tell. Didn't really look interested which was the biggest worry. No alarm bells yet but if he puts up another performance like that, I'll be going set and forget in the rucks.

I've had Menadue as a placeholder forward rookie but this interests me from AFL.COM

Connor Menadue has added the weight he needed to take a big step in his second season, and coach Damien Hardwick has a specific role mapped out for the 19-year-old on a wing. It is hoped Menadue, who has also played half-back in match drills, can eventually be the Isaac Smith of Richmond's midfield, using his running power to win the ball in dangerous spots. "Connor is looking physically stronger," football manager Dan Richardson told AFL.com.au. "His speed is exciting and he makes good decisions with ball in hand. We look forward to seeing how his solid pre-season translates into the NAB Challenge." In the key posts,

Dont hold your breath bud. Wont play many games this year i have him 2-3 all up. Also would be great if i'm wrong means he improved a hell of a lot to fit in the best 22.

Hi Johno,
Any opinion on Corey Ellis? I liked what I saw of him last year. Do you think he's a viable sc option?

I'm taking the gamble on Billings as F4. Only an injury will prevent him from being in my Rd 1 team. *touch wood*

Like him, he would be in front of Manadue. Tigers want him to have the pill. I have him in my side as i think he will play alot of footy. But watch NAB see how we use him.

Cheers for the feedback. He's currently my f5 and it's good to hear a positive opinion coming from a Richmond man. He's at that awkward price though, would need to be best 22 and average 70-80 to be worthwhile

Shaun Higgins tempting anyone else ?
No. I don't like picking a mature age player after their best year. But his last 2 years have been very good given all the injuries he's had over time. Managing a player appears to have become much better in recent times. Higgins, Gray and Sandi are all good examples. Hawthorn last year were the oldest 22 players on average to ever win a premiership.
