I am taking a punt by not selecting Ablett as a POD. It's a gamble right now, but he has no exposed form for 2016 and he's coming off two injury interrupted seasons. He also had a foot injury in the pre season. Sure - "It's GAJ". If we forget about the name, he's 32+ going into the season coming off two significant injuries and now starting to pick up little niggles. I could be clutching at straws, but those are my reasons for excluding him as a POD.
Sheridan, I'm not too sure to be honest. I have selected him due to SCS hype. He replaced Daniel Rich, so he's cheaper and by the look of things much more in the "breakout" category.
Petracca is injured. He's a placeholder because I haven't found a rookie to replace him with. I have $40k in the bank as it stands I believe, so he could become anyone up to about $160k. I doubt I will start him as a floating donut, because even when he is fit I doubt he will come straight into the side. He hasn't played at all for 12-18 months. I think round 4 or 5 is more of a "best case" meaning he won't be on the bubble until round 7-9.
Mills is really Mills / Parish. I like that the swans have some room across the half back and from all accounts he's firming to take that spot. McVeigh is currently out, Rhys Shaw is gone and now Garry Rohan is injured. It's true that the Swans have a lot of talent in the midfield, but they paid a lot to pick him up and I don't think they would have done that to play him in the reserves. If Heeney hadn't been injured he would have played close to 22 games last season as a first year player. Having said that, if a better option presents itself in the $100-130k bracket, I'm not really overly attached to him!

Pick Sheridan if you wish, but whatever you do, don't pick a player because other people have jumped on him. There's nothing more frustrating than getting stuck with a bad pick, or having to waste a trade, on someone you didn't really want in the first place.
It's your team, so make it your team! Back yourself, the same as you're doing with Ablett.

I'm a bit underwhelmed by Birchall as well, but think he's the best D4 I can find at this stage without paying a lot more. I'll keep an eye on his role.
Fyfe missed the cut because I think the others are somewhat safer. I haven't had him all preseason and when he reached fo his back after taking a mark, it reinforced why - he's a gun, but less reliable than a number of others.
On Tippett, I still have him for now, but thought NAB 2 was not that positive - he was just okay (although took no marks and had no scores) while I thought Sinclair looked quite good in the first half. I'll continue to monitor him.
I'm pretty happy with Boomer, although he's probably next on the block if I look to load up further on forward rookies, which is possible. McCarthy is one of the ones I'm less sure about, but I'm hoping the 1-2 less solid rookies in each line are clearer after NAB 3, and are then picked round one!

Ward interesting POD. My biggest concern with your team is cheap mid rookies. You may need a Mills/Parish for JS at M7 as I can't see Cuningham getting a game early especially after Nab1.
Rucks speak for themselves.
Forwards look good. Is Grimley a good cash cow at F7/8?

i really like the setup. i think its worthwhile having a crack for a mid price player in the defence. it doesnt seem there is a lot of dependable rookies in the defence.
mids look very strong maybe consider removing ablett for danger and also consider libba to someone like viney. libba will be great but im tipping viney might break out.

Nice team bloke. Same structure as my current draft.
Looks to me you've got every premuim you wanted on each line.
You've also ticked the wells box and 2 top end mid rookie on field box.
So it comes down to the only thing that doesn't quite sit well with me in my side. Is 4 + libba enough to keep me in touch till upgrade time when the large majority are running with 5 + libba.
Downgrading shaw, goldy slighlty and dahl to green to bring in a parker for parish. Is it worth it??? Thats my dilema atm

Latest team. Changed Aish for mullet whom will score similar to Aish but may not have the job security. This allowed me to move on petracca( won't play round 1) and strengthen the forwards with cockatoo whom seems to be flying this year. 64k remain, please advise your thoughts, I'm very happy with my structure
Trying to split 2 structures here. 50/50 on which i'll roll with.

I don't know about anyone else but i feel a real sense of achievement when i use all $10M. Unfortunately the recent developments re: Gaz have me slightly concerned and also reading about Fyfe grabbing his back in NAB2 is also of concern.
Relatively happy with the team with one less premium than i'd ideally be starting with but have all the top enders that I have full confidence in with Lonergan the sketchy pick for mine.
If i was to move on Fyfe + Gaz, would you:
a) replace with 2 midfield premiums, use loose change to upgrade Lonergan
b) replace 1 with midfield premium, 1 with Crouch, upgrade Lonergan
c) replace 1 with midfield premium, 1 with rookie, upgrade Lonergan and possibly make another upgrade (400kish type)
d) replace 1 with Crouch, 1 with rookie, upgrade Lonergan and possibly make another 2 upgrades (400kish type)
e) replace with 2 rookies, upgrade Lonergan and potentially another 3 upgrades (400kish types)
Haven't done the math quite yet though so not sure how many upgrades i'll be able to squeeze out.

Nothing that stands out. As you mentioned, not sure on Mullett's JS (and Aish's while we're on the topic). You'd no doubt be aware of Mumford's durability issues but I can certainly see why you've picked him. Yeo not sure about anymore, not sure if Brown going down is +/- for him?
With the 60k you will need to spread that across your bench it looks like but we won't know for certain until round 1 comes.

I like your team, however personally I see Wells at F3 more of a problem than a Sherridan/Lonergan at D4.
If I was to make a change it would be find some cash and bring in another forward premium/mid pricer to your forward line. I think there is much more risk with Wells at F3 than a Lobergan type at D4.

Thanks mate. Yeah Wells at F3 doesn't leave me anywhere to go should he go down which if we're being honest is very possible. Forwards do look to be where the depth in rookies is though, with BK another that's worth considering.
The structure i've gone with is a bit of a reverse of last year's where i went very light down back on the back of rookies available, probably wasn't a great result tbh lol but there were other reasons for that failure.
If i could find more backs and forwards i loved, it would make putting a team together so much easier
