Anyone who doesn't start R1 (with the exception of FDs) is a no from me, regardless of the reason.

Not sure about anyone else but very surprised Bartel is not in the top 10 defenders.

Almost as surprised that Aish is! Think every team that ends up at the pointy end will have started Bartel. The only risk free selection in defence this year.

Honestly, I think Laird is as close to risk free as you can get - Bartel isn't in my team and I am not concerned by that. He won't play the full season and is under a concussion cloud now - I want playing backs due to the rookie roulette going on.

Aish on the other hand, yes, his popularity is strange to me...

For me its either bartel now or never, (courtesy of Rowsus's analysis of him)
In 2014 he scored 9 x 100+ scores in his 21 games, 5 in his first 9 games.
In 2013 he scored 13 x 100+ scores in his 21 games, 8 in first 10 games, 11 in his first 14 games.
In 2012 he scored 8 x 100+ scores in his 19 games, 6 in his first 10 games.
In 2011 he scored 11 x 100+ scores in his 21 games, 6 in his first 7 games.
In 2010 he scored 12 x 100+ scores in his 21 games, 9 in his first 11 games.
He scores better at the start of the year, not convincing if you want him as an upgrade option.
year- first half/second half
2015- injury affected
2014-104/97
2013-113/100
2012-102/96
2011-108/103
i expect him to get off to a fast start this year

What makes you say that re Laird, PC? I'm conscious that he only has one premium season behind him, and he doesn't seem an obvious name to expect more natural progression from (not a high draft pick, and regressed in his second season).

I currently have him in the absence of better options, but I don't necessarily see him as very low risk - so I'd be interested in what you are seeing differently.

I wasn't a believer for a while but he seems to get the job done - he has a good k:h ratio, gets contested possessions and also seems to have reasonable de.

Shaw is overpriced, no-one else I am sold on to either gain avg or play a full season.

Current top 10 aside from rookie priced players as at 21/03/16

Player, ownership, position last week

1. Liberatore (52.1%) (1)
2. Wells (49%) (3)
3. Dangerfield (46.6%) (4)
4. Ablett (39.4%) (2)
5. D Martin (38.4%) (5)
6. Fyfe (37.9%) (6)
7. Barlow (32.4%) (8)
8. Shaw (31.2%) (9)
9. Rockliff (29.5%) (7)
10. Goldstein (27.1%) (10)

So there we have it. Not much has changed since last week with the top 10 staying the same and just a few players switching positions. Most notable increases in popularity from last week are Wells up 6.5% and Danger up 5.8% while no pre-season games for Ablett has seen him drop 3.3%.

If we look back at the very first top ten I posted on 02/02/16, there have been quite a few changes since then. Here's what it looked like:

1. Liberatore (54.55%)
2. Ablett (52.94%)
3. D Martin (39.11%)
4. Rockliff (38.39%)
5. O'Meara (32.36%)
6. Pendlebury (28.83%)
7. B Crouch (27.58%)
8. Leuenberger (26.58%)
9. Goldstein (26.33%)
10. Shaw (25.48%)

So 48 days ago O'Meara, Pendlebury, B Crouch and Leuenberger were all in the top 10 and there was no Wells, Dangerfield, Fyfe and Barlow. Wells and Dangerfield have incredibly gone from not being in the top 10 to number 2 and 3 respectively.

I've ended up with either 8 or 9 of the top ten depending on which of the two teams I end up going with. How many have you ended up with?
