1200/12 captain played. Poor start but its early days. Sticking fat and not changing team just for sake of it even though my def sucks! Will always have to have an ess def rookie on field until I decide it's a total failure.
Par scores looks 2250-2300 with 2400 being up there.

Anyone care to explain Bceouch getting 20 points in the fist half then 50 odd in the second???

1356/14 (C) - Fyfe, Barlow, Rickcliff, Rich, Martin, NicNat, Danger, Bartel to come.
Hopefully reach 2200 which is ok.

Regrets:
- Greene
- BCeouch over Libba last minute (looked OK second half)
- missing Weitering
- Misosng Paply

2200 usually the barometer we take as a decent score/aim for round 1.
Think it'll be more a 2300 this week with most popular rookies getting it done

I think most on SCS so far who have posted are coming in around 100 ave per player. If that's indicative of general SC universe then I think par will be 2300-2400 area with a handful of leaders smashing out 2500+ scores.

1561 from 15+C here. Filthy with Toby Greene. Why did I go there, rarely fails to disappoint !

In my experience the ones who post are the ones doing well and you get an inflated sense of what par is. If par means top 10k, I reckon 2200 will get you there.

What are people's thoughts on the Syd/Coll game last night, in particular Collingwoods performance? Was this just an off night for the Pies or an indication of things to come (especially compounded by Swans injury)? If so, how might this impact Pendles and the other Coll Mids?

On the other hand, Syd looked great. Was this just because the Pies were so poor, or are they the real deal (again - yawn :) )? At this stage, if you could choose just 1 Syd Mid to put in your team, who would it be?

14/1443 (c) played.

Barlow, S Gray, Rockliff, Priddis, Nicnat, Bartel, Selwood, Danger.

Keen watch today on Sam Gray & Adams.

If Adams looks ok and can reach a 70 score then I'll look to use him on field next week and try to find a way to bring in Weitering for Dea. I think the quicker one moves Dons rookie defenders off the field, the quicker they'll move up the rankings.

As a Don, really happy with the way Parish plays. Just hunts the footy like a little Sloane. Shame he looks like he's about 65 kilos which meant his DE% took a hit with him missing targets under contested pressure.

Also need to find a way to bring in Papley next week if he's solid again.

Hannebery. He looks red hot this season.

Watching the game live it was very frustrating. It's what I would call an almost game... he was quite often a good option but didn't get used. I think there's a lot of upside as when on ground started in centre more often than not. He's clearly still not match fit and gave away a couple of clumsy frees. I'm still more than happy taking him over Libba as I'm yet to be convinced Libba fits in dogs best 22 whereas the Crouch's along with Thompson and Sloane are the crows only real quality mids.

Looked business as usual for the Sydney mids, just more so because they were winning so easily. One week it will be Parker who dominates scoring, the next JPK, the next Mitchell, the next Hannebery. There are enough points for a few keepers, but I'm not keen on guessing which ones and they're all pretty expensive, except Parker, and if you don't have him already you might have missed the score that boosts his average to keeper territory.

Collingwood were wincingly bad last night. No point guessing why, but it did make me ashamed for buying into the usual media stuff about them. Doubt it has long term ramifications, unless you were picking them for top 6. They're a solid team rebuilding well who has a good midfield but a few holes elsewhere and are missing a few guys they'd love to have back. Moreso now that Swan's gone. Treloar looked good. Really annoyed I didn't end up fitting him in my team.

Yes sydney were fantastic but we didn't turn up and the most dissapointing thing to me was zero leadership on the ground through the whole massacre. Skip was very dissapointing, didn't give a yelp all night.
Could be the last time swanny plays tbh. If we don't show up against the tigers....oh dear

Nice. You have me by 1 point at the moment with Libba, Wines, S Martin and Nic Nat v my Yeo, Sheridan, Fyfe and S Gray. Will go down to the wire I reckon.

The Swans had something like 9 players with less than 50 games last night - we shall see if that kind of form lasts the whole year.

Collingwood have been talked up in the media because they have 300 billion members and good news about your club sells papers/gets clicks. I personally very much doubt they will push for the top 8 more so with Swan gone.
