Most irritating/disappointing line ? Easily FORWARDS for me ... Satisfied to happy on the other three lines.

Reading all these score updates is making me annoyed, so many coaches' optimism of 24 hours ago has been obliterated (including me!). Just want to hear the final siren around 6pm and look on toward round 2. Ahhhh SC, you're well and truly back.

Ha! My optimism is in full swing! Fyfe, Barlow, Sinclair, Brown and Pendles poor, but you'd back at least three to turn it around next week. And I get to inject Zorko into my lineup too.

Good to have Gary back as Captain. Happy with not having Fyfe, not so happy not having Libba. Still, only rd 1.

So... I'm feeling like I made some headway today. Not too far off the pace, and already beaten last years 1960 odd. Could be quite a few unlucky campers who had a their premiums and pod's go small. Always next week - hard to spot a trend in a week or two.

I'm struggling to find the words to describe the sh1teness of my teams performance and I'm not sure I even understand it. I've got most of the good rookies, but probably left about 100 points on the bench. Only 2 of my premos have scored over 100 (thanks Goldy and Libba), and the rest have been deplorable. Looking at the names, they are all good players and should bounce back...... But if they don't - then WOW. It could be a loooooonnnnng season

Ricky Bobby, very good form on your part to post that. Its always easier to post a half decent score so kudos to you although your score isnt that bad, you should still clear 2000 pretty easily. I would take that for every R1. Not many of us on here who hasnt had a difficult start (pretty much every year for me !).

1858 with Dangerfield (C) to come. Here's hoping he can pull out a Priddis/Parker-like performance!

Picked all the right rookies which is pleasing. Milera and Dea on field caused the most pain though.

It was the premos who mainly let me down - Houli, Fyfe, Barlow the main contenders. Hannebery was on track for big score until Sidey's bump. Really concerned about Dusty's role too. I'm backing them all to bounce back.

And so the marathon begins!

Why no JJK or Priddis??

Yeah it's a bit of a let down, been a horrible day for me... but others have had worse.

JJK was never a consideration as I only wanted to run with Barlow & Hall as keepers in the forward line.

Priddis on the other hand was literally in and out of my team several times this morning but chose to run with Fyfe instead, partly in fear of him starting the season hot and becoming very hard to get. Priddis will definitely be in my team ASAP for a 4th straight year.

Also left about 100 on the bench which could have been more if it wasn't for Ueber getting me Papley's score.

The one solace I do take is that my best ever Round 1 ranking ended up being my worst ever year in the decade of playing this game. So hoping the tables turn next week, but gee if its more of the same next week it could be a long year..... May have to visit the rant thread tomorrow night!

1953 with Selwood and Danger to come. hard to gauge par in the first round but i feel like SCS players have generally had a good round. we'll see tomorrow night i guess. Thanks for posting scores everyone. Really excited for the round to end and the craziness to set in!
