Dammit... Ruggles vs BJ vs Brynes... all 3 being named does not make it easier.
I have only seen Ruggles play of the 3, really, and I liked what I saw. He didn't look like he was playing defense, I saw him up around the wings. If he's holding his spot in a winning team I see him scoring better in the long run than the other two. Byrne-Jones won't kick 2 every week in a losing side. As with Papley, I prefer guys who aren't relying on scoreboard impact to accumulate points. It certainly helps, but as with Papley if he's not kicking the goals he's not getting points.

I watched him play when they played the Lions and you're right, he was impressive... big body - composed... good skills. Was he the same against the Dons? 18 disposals and only 40SC, what was he doing wrong?

MARK Hutchings and Jackson Nelson have been dropped from West Coast’s side ahead of Saturday’s blockbuster clash with Sydney at the SCG.

The pair make way for returning stars Matt Priddis and Sharrod Wellingham, and will line up for WAFL outfit East Perth against Perth at Lathlain Park on Saturday.

Great news getting Priddis & Wellingham back. Hutchings & Nelson where the logical 2 to drop, though I'm a bit surprised they went for McInnes over Giles to replace Lycett this week.

When Lycett returns from suspension next week we are only 1 away (Sheed) from our best 22.

Dustin playing very average, has a BE over 160, and looks like he really misses Brett. Lids can't come back soon enough to boost Dusty's scores, but for how long, cause poor Deledio appears, most unusually for him, far more "fragile" these days.
Reduced interchange cap.

Hopefully he holds his spot and gives me some good cover.. Now for Petracca to get a game (I know he wont) and my early season bench warmers justify their selection!

IDIG why is it bad he gets named?

Re: Goldy, Currie plays for Gold Coast, not North lol. Also - we established it was GoldSACK not GoldSTEIN who was a late withdrawal last week. Goldy is fine!

Not sure if this has been posted yet.

SWAN Callum Sinclair has recovered from an infected foot and looks set for a showdown with former ruck partner Nic Naitanui when the Swans welcome West Coast at the SCG for the first time since 2010 on Saturday afternoon.

Sinclair was a late withdrawal from the Swans team that lost to Adelaide by 10 points last week, but trained on Tuesday and moved freely again on Thursday morning before coach John Longmire closed his session to the public.

NORTH Melbourne key defender Robbie Tarrant is expected to play against Gold Coast on Saturday, Roos coach Brad Scott says.

Having a look over Geelong team from last week and I'm thinking Ruggles is chance of missing. Scott suggesting 3 ins this week, main candidates IMO are Murdoch,Lang,Kolo,Ruggles & a ruckman.

Edit: did Geelong have any injuries last week?

I've heard Ruggles will definitely play, in their best 22 at the moment. (Ben Guthrie on twitter)
My guess would be Kolo, Murdoch and one of Lang/Gregson would drop out.

I did an itty fist pump! Picked him expecting him to get some games and score well. A lot of anxiety over the pick in this week Stefan Martin has doubts is lessened.

Me too!, I can't believe they played Brooksby in front of him last week!

Great timing for us that have both Martin/Currie too!
