Geez i feel like Jacobs is being scored harshly, hes been my biggest regret by far this year.
Yeh, has seemed harsh all year. 26 hitouts in a half; 8d. I saw at least 3 or 4 to advantage that qrt I thought (I only watched 2nd quarter).

Agreed.

3 kicks, 5 handballs @ 100% DE, 1 mark, 1 tackle, 1 free kick, 2 I50 and 26 hit outs. I'm guessing he's had at least 8 hit outs to direct advantage from watching the game. With 20 goals coming in the first half, it must affect some player's SC scores who haven't kicked any or had any score assists.

Here's hoping he can push forward, kick a couple in the second half and get past the ton!!

Yes to this. Watched the games this year and he's been solid, SC scores don't agree though, starting to **** me off!

I reckon a lot of the time rucks are scored harshly, at least relative to what the rules say.

They seem to get paid H2As less frequently than I would expect, and then even when they do get them, it's less than 5 points more often than not.
Yeah I agree with that. One mainly tends to notice it more with one's own ruckmen though naturally.

What seems to happen is they generally get called a HTA when it's an absolute advantage, eg ruckman at centre square hits it to player who kicks the ball into the 50, with the ruckman usually getting 3 points for it. However then there is what I would call a semi to advantage tap, eg the ruckman clearly it it to another player who takes possession but that player takes a split second too long so their handball gets smothered/sharked etc. It's this hit out that I think should at least get a point but often gets 0.

Anyway can't complain as long as all ruckmen get judged the same (But I sometimes wonder!)

The problem if those aren't being counted as H2A is that it has nothing to do with the ruckman. He has done his job to hit it directly to a team-mate, he no longer has control of what happens to the ball or player. As you said, the ruckman should get judged solely on the actual hitout and not what happens afterwards. Anyway, there's nothing we can do about how the score players and we should probably just jump on Champion Data favs like Rance LoL.

That sounds right on all counts ... especially the bit about noticing it with your own players the most. I find it's worst when I have the C on Goldy
