14 for 1243. I will need Captain Fyfe to have a monster to get closer to par. 2 out of 3 PODish premiums in Gray and Jacobs killing me, at least Sloane has lifted last two weeks.
What do we do with Sam Jacobs now Phil?? Another reasonable looking game that didn't translate into SC points, i keep thinking "He'll come good, gotta hold him" but his head is firmly on the chopping block now. At least NicNat is doing well at R2.

I am a recent convert to the floating donut, and I would highly recommend it.

Last year I was reluctant to start one given it took a potentially cash-making rookie out, and left me with less cover early on. I traded in the WC D-M FD option (I can't remember his name) around the byes though. That was a wasted trade because I rarely seemed to have the right number of playing players on either of his lines - ie, I was left with no cover, or had other options I could use as non-floating donuts.

This year has been very different. Uebergang has been extremely useful, particularly because he is paired up with Adams, Brown and Tippa. Adams has been consistently solid but the others have been up and down, so Ueber has worked well to either loop the Ess options, or to switch up and back with Adams to take the better of D7 and F7, sometimes knowing exactly what both of those scores were (no guessing).

Petracca has also been useful as another option, particularly for the C loophole, given sometimes you can't do forward, back and C loopholes with just one agent. He will presumably be generating cash in a month or so, which I will welcome, but I may even consider another FD in his place, especially if the downgrade options get thin.

The other thing that has made it very worthwhile this year is that the top-flight rookies have been excellent, but the last-selected ones have all been pretty underwhelming in my view - so I haven't really foregone much, but I have still had a strong chance at boosting my score every week. It's obviously useful for trades as well.
Traded in DBJ however he has the E on him and is on the bench. Is it worth recruiting Uber in ( replacing Sheridan to give me sufficient cash for duo blue upgrade next week) and thus also getting DBJ and his 103?

It'd be a boss move provided Sheridan was on the block anyway, which I guess he should be and you haven't been burning trades too hard already. I don't have the mental power to work out the benefit of having Uber from now on in. Maybe others can help.

Having uber as a floating donut allows me to get a first look at the best rookie scores between defense and forward and thus gain some additional points. Then next week I would look at converting brown (currently fed) into Parker via Zorko.

I love that move, Ueber has been so handy to help with loopholing and maneuvering all the DPP DEF/FWDS. If you already were thinking about chopping Sheridan, then go for it.

I honestly don't know. I'm in two minds, fundamentally I don't like sideways trading a player that looks ok on the field. However how long can we bleed points for?

I think if i do it, it's clearly gotta be to Goldstein, which means finding around another lazy $200k. I've got $544k in the bank due to my rookie downgrades this week but most of that is earmarked for a Fyfe-Davis/Hewitt/Gresham trade which should only leave about $100k at most which begs the question how badly do i want Fyfe? Or more importantly how badly do i not want Jacobs.....

No changes to either side this afternoon. The first bounce is about 90 minutes away. #AFLSaintsGiants

I am in same boat, I think or hope that best to hold. An improvement to K/HB ratio could help, and his durability will hopefully help claw back 100-200 points from less durable rucks like Gawn or Martin.

Hoping there are more pressing areas of the team to address, but it is really frustrating owning Sauce.

I think this is good advice. Getting DBJ's score is worth about 30 this round based on Sheridan's scoring to date, maybe 40 based on last year's scores. That's worth having, but not massive, and not worth a trade of itself, obviously.

Having Ueber I would guesstimate - I stress guesstimate - might be worth about 20ppg in the near-term. This could be higher/lower based on the factors I mentioned in my earlier post (alternative donuts, DPP pairings, etc - note Ueber's value declines somewhat if you remove guys like Brown, who he pairs with).

Sheridan is around fair value based on his scoring so far - although you can likely replace his points with a rookie in the <$150k range if you pick a decent one. So trading Sheridan is not pressing (he's not likely to drop a lot), but could free up cash for few/no points lost on ground, assuming you don't think he improves from here, and have a decent D7.

If Sheridan is on the block anyway, and if you don't expect to lose Ueber's swing value near-term (by trading out too many of his D-F mates soon), and don't expect to have other donut options near-term (unfit premiums, or rookies at risk of being dropped), I'd probably do this trade - more for Ueber's ongoing value, and the fact that you can free up cash but likely replace Sheridan's points with a playing rookie, rather than to get DBJ's extra 30-40 this week (although that helps too!).

Essentially I think the trade would probably net you at least 150 points from here, possibly a fair bit more, so it looks a worthwhile one.

Thanks for the advice all, think this will assist me long term as I still have Adams, Tippa to use as dpp for fwd/def and gives me plenty of cash for upgrades next few rounds
