Martin played long spells in the forward line in the 2nd half, just like he did last week. Not his fault for not scoring consistently when he's playing forward of centre for large periods. Hopefully he gets more of a run through the midfield for longer periods as the season progresses. 85 and 92 aren't scores that are going to cost you a heap of cash anyway for his starting price and considering that the likes of Pavlich, Zorko, Bartel, Franklin, Ryder and Roughead all scored around the same or much less for a much higher cost in the first round, he's hardly been "useless".

Why is it some players seem to be gifted points, when other players do the same thing, around the same time, and get less?

Two weeks in a row now, Cotchin has had a dreadful DE.

Last week, 33 poss DE 48% 7 clangers score 119 - compared to Grigg had 23 poss DE 65% 1 clangers score 69
This week, 31 poss DE 55% 6 clangers score 119 - compared to Tuck had 21 poss DE 62% 2 clangers score 58

On straight proportions, Grigg and Tuck used the ball better, had way less clangers, but scored at a rate around 15% less per possession!!!
I know it is not lineal, but it seems way out of proportion.

Abletts last quarter last week, and other examples we have seen, makes me think there is a human element in all this, weighting the "stars" and "popular" players performances more highly than some other players!

Not to defend Martin but it does seem a ploy to start him on te ball early then playing him forward late. I don't recall seeing him start in the centre square anywhere near as much in the second half.

Martin's fitness is probably the issue. 92 is not too bad though, considering he barely touched the ball in the second half.

I traded out Newman, but I was hoping Newman would get a solid score.

Unfortunately, Newman missed a sitter after the siren and then missed a close one in the last quarter. Would have been a solid 90 with that goal in the last but just missed. I think it's time to get rid of Newman, especially if the Port players get a solid 70 with a low breakeven.

My bad.

1/92 with Martin back in the sheds... Heh... wrong season...

Someone said earlier: 90 average from F5 or 6? I'll take that. Hell I'm happy with paying 480k for it. Can't see him averaging 75. Bank the safe pips, I say.

330/3

Cotchin (vc), Martin

119 is 6 points below what I set my loophole limit at so locking in the points. Feels a little too safe but I've lost a bit of confidence in my other main options (jack and murphy).

Martin does have those occasional monsters too so maybe these 90s are his 50s and 60s from yesteryear :D

I recall collingwood vs gold coast 2012, Pendlebury was my captain, had 19 possessions(10contested) 1 goal 72% DE or something by half time before being subbed. I had the subscription back then, and it showed that he scored 65, but he got scaled to 95, which is a good thing for me... But to be fair, the scaling was wayyyyy too much. Maybe the score allocater had pendlebury as his captain as well? :D Also, anyone know how much is Nick Riewolt priced at? Fairly happy with him being my pinch hitter so far.
