2277, so well down on last week unfortunately..... Kommer Sub score (to late to change) with O'Meara on pine, panic traded Hanley to Gibbs to "negate the advantage" (haha deserved that for stupid wasted sideways trade), and of course went C on Swan instead of Jelwood, silly risk.
Heppell good....
Could have been better, could have been worse :) .
Well done to the 2300+ club, that's where you want to be hanging out, so good luck to all.

Ouch!

Dangerfield's BE is 201, Pavlich 191, Buddy 183, and so on. Anyone want a BE for particular Players? Let me know. :)

Anyone think that it's Henderson's fault though? :p I think he should have been doing "that stuff" in the Bathroom, not in the Change Rooms.

I feel sorry for him because it's embarrassing for Henderson, but every Player knows (or should know) that there are cameras in the Change Rooms. The Camera's are live as well, so they couldn't "stop" it from being aired.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I guess all the articles about him lately have given him a bit of a push.

Sacked actually.

Well technically he resigned, but only after having 'a conversation' with Don McLardy and Schwab indicated in the press conference he would have prefered to stay on.

I must say I have no idea what McLardy is like as a president, and he may be great in that role, but having watched the entire press confrence he certainly is a very poor media performer!!

Obviously Melbournes problems start at the very bottom, and go all the way to the very top.
I wonder how many more tackles/hardball gets/contested marks we (Melbourne) will get now that we've found a scapegoat to offer up?
Surely that was the problem, Schwabby just wasn't getting through to the players!
If they have sacked him because he oversaw what is currently the football department, and they are saying that it is a huge failure/debacle (which it is), surely they need to sack that football department, too?

Interestingly Rowsus I actually went to a short seminar (well more like a talk located in a bar) where Schwab was the main speaker about 2 or so years ago.

Spoke for about 30 to 45 mins and was very impressive. I actually went away from the night having a soft spot for the Dees because of how how well he spoke and the great insight he offered.

Obviously the job of being a AFL footy club CEO is a whole different kettle of fish to simply just impressing a group who turned up specifically to hear him talk for half an hour!

Re: Melbourne - It's very easy to make a different call in hindsight, but it just seems like they made the wrong decision with the players they delisted during their cleanout last year. Rather than taking the hard road and delisting (or putting on notice) obviously talented players that refuse to buy in like Sylvia and Watts to name a few, they seemed to choose choose the less talented players that had a crack like your Petterds. I guess they banked on bringing in players like Byrnes and Dawes from a successful culture to try and turn the mindset around from the inside out of the more talented playing list that they retained.

But because these players that they brought in are inherently less talented that the current group, they will never win respect, despite their achievements, because the initial group will be looking at them thinking "i'm a better player than you, if i was in that team (collingwoood or Geelong) i would have won premierships too.."

So what they are left with is a bunch of battlers from other clubs and the same disenterested, yet talented players with poor work ethic.

That approach was worth a punt, but it clearly hasn't worked. I'm not saying that Melbourne made the wrong decision with how they approached the clean out, because if i was in charge i would have taken the same road. But it hasn't worked and now, they have to identify the players that are perpetuating this culture of "cruising", keep the hard workers and cut their losses with players that don't buy in, no matter who they are.

My 2 cents.
