Super Coach finals are around the corner. Those who are in the 8 or vying for a place need have a few thoughts as to what to do this week. This is my conundrum. I'm sure you have some to.
Best of luck.
Slainte!

Still debating with myself whether to hold Hall, it seems he will be back unlike Barlow and probably Lids. I have cover in Hams worth 50-65, a few trades left.
I am mindful of using them unless to avoid a donut at this time of year.
Should I hold and get 22 on the park, depends on selections this week I guess, or trade Hall to say Lynch and bite the bullet.
I will probably get the double chance in the leagues that matter even if I lose this week but that is o***et with my aim to finish in the top 1,000, and win my leagues. Currently 442.
Don't want to fall in a heap in the last few rounds and ruin a fair year, happened before.
I want both, maybe can't have both.
My decision in the end, just putting my thoughts on a page.
A discussion with yourself it is..

Leagues are a funny beast
In my SCS league (10) I am currently the highest scoring team and have had no real chance of making the 8 for a couple of weeks now

Fairing a lot better in my cash league - locked in the 4 and a chance to take top spot in the final round

Also have Hall but with Kerridge as cover - hoping to be able to hold out and trade Dahl in during finals

Good luck to all for the upcoming league finals

This is going to be the first year I'll have no trades before finals start!

Usually save a few but have tried something different this year and gone hard early. Don't think I'll win many because of that but I've had a good run.

I have tried to be conservative and still have sfa left. Can your opponent trade the premium out or have cover?

Hi Court - I'm still pricing trades at 150 points and it has served me well so far. Perhaps somewhere around there is a decent benchmark for you as well.

Of course, GC play the 7th game of the round, so it looks like you could simply wait and see, league-wise?

I'm beginning to give holding off a bit more thought. At the moment I am carrying both Hall and Deledio and they are being covered by Yeo and Sinclair. I could use my final trade on Deledio to grab a mid and bring Yeo off the field but it could just be a bit reactive considering Yeo's poor score on the weekend. I'm beginning to think it's the better move to hold off to see how Deledio plays out for one more week.

The risk I run is I won't be able to afford Ward or Gibbs anymore if I do that but could afford someone else I don't mind getting the likes of Gunston, Cripps or even B.Crouch. Ward would've been nice though but I don't know.

Well they are here. Season starts again. Anybody can win on the given week.

One C pick, one shocker, something from the golden ticket, 155 from 19 possies, 98 from 35 possies or the hammy done in the first 5 minutes.

Need some luck, and plenty of that to you all colleagues.

In the top 4 in all my leagues this season which is great. With only 1 trade left I am praying I win most of my games so I don't have to use the trade until the Prelims.

Really really really trying to talk myself out of bringing in Dahlhaus early.... Still trying as we speak. Please have another good game Naismith... just one more...

My work league is awful.

I ranked 1st with a % of 113.1%. We're ranked 11326. I'm annoyed that I lost 1 game this year!

Bragging rights is about it.
I'm in a League with some of my friends and they are just hopeless (ie worse than 80,000). Its got to the point where its actually not fun playing against them because they are so bad. I may need to burn them next year as they are taking up a valuable League spot - lol :p

You'll have to educate them Ricky.

Start with something simple like a G n R starting squad and telling them about one up one down trades.

You might actually get some fun out of seeing them improve to 40-50 k maybe next year and even better the year after.

I'm playing you in the $50 cash league final. Perhaps you could let your friends tweak your team this week as practice??

I agree with you, but the frustrating thing is that I have been trying to educate them for the past few seasons as I want them to get good at this game and love it as much as I do. They are all Footy nuts and love stats so this should be a slam dunk for them, but they just don't seem to have "caught the SC bug" the way the rest of us have. They make excuses about not having enough time or not having the App on their phone so they can't do the VC loophole etc.. blah, blah, blah... I send them suggested trades and pre season info on rookies etc.. but they just don't engage.

It's disappointing, but I think I've come to the realization that I'll stick to just talking to all of you guys about SC matters as the interaction is much more enjoyable ;)

Lolz :) The way I performed last week, who's to say that hasn't already happened?
Seriously though, I'm looking forward to the battle. It's "do or die" for both of us this week so I'm sure we will both be throwing everything at it - best of luck :)
