Didn't Clay Smith lose his best friend on a Monday, attend the funeral on the Thursday & play a final on that weekend, and this nut takes the rest of the year off for the death of a boxer he never met? Sorry if that comes across as unsympathetic or just plain rude, but this blokes sense of self worth truly astounds me.

It was around the time we turned a corner, and our recruiting has improved, but really....... what were we thinking!!!

Who would have thought at the time the trade took place that Collingwood would be the BIG winners of the Clark-Lumumba-Varcoe trade!

He should be taken to the cleaners and slammed in the media the way aka gets slammed. But he wont because it would apparently be racist so fence sitting wil happen. It would be too hard to work hard in 2017 and earn another contract im guessing. His case should be thrown out and forced to pay legal costs. Mebourne do no have an obligation to ensure he hits the trigger. He is **** and not even in their best 22. Worst human in the game ever.

Looks like we have a couple of Lumumba owners from 2015. He has been on my never again list since then as well.

This quote I've found from two years ago sums up what the general consensus was at the time:

"Lumumba is the best player out of those three currently, Clark has the most upside but also the most risk, and Varcoe would really need to step up to be worth."

Easy to say "everybody" in hindsight...
