Im completely baffled mate, misses 1 practice game and everyone jumps off The Best Supercoach player of the last 6 years.
I'm glad he missed it. People were just looking for an excuse to leave him out. Hope he punishes with a 125 average over the first 6 rounds.

Yeah I wont complain, just makes me wonder what is going through their heads when they think of him. If you didnt like him before JLT, more power to you, but to jump off after a missed practice game is absolutely ridiculous.

On Pendles I reckon it's cost cutting to fund expensive rookies + using the Achilles issue as the excuse, rightly or wrongly

Can understand the cost cutting to fit in the rookies part, but no reason to overstate the achilles.

I don't know if the achilles is just an excuse. It is a notoriously difficult injury to deal with, and footy clubs will always be cagey with saying their champion less than 100% two days out from the start of a season. It still doesn't account for the sheer numbers that have jumped off, though.

This may sound trivial but Pendles has a baby due in May and has already stated that he will miss a game if it is born around game day. Maybe only a 1/3 chance but still possible.

I'll be damned if I have to make a list of all players who have babies due during the footy season!

Fair point but going by that logic you probably are better off starting him as if you don't, you can't trade him in until after May.

Can plan for a lot of things in SC but nature is not one of them.

I wasn't considering him anyway but by my calculations it is due approx. round 10 so it would be an after bye upgrade if he is a required player.

I have 9 of the 12 players with over 40% ownership (missing O'Meara, Dahlhaus, Roughead)

I have 7 of the 12 players between 30%-40% ownership (missing Hibberd, Swallow, Shaw, Otten, Gawn)

So 16 out of 24 with 30%+ ownership.

I have all the guys above 40%

Missing Hibberd, Otten, Nank, Marchbank, Gawn in the 30-40 region. No Steele either who's just on the cusp of 30%.

Gee Martin and Murphy were a bit more popular in the non-SCS worlds than I was expecting. Good work those who took the punt.

Seeing as the lockout on our teams has started, I will make this the last update. "Why PC, why? Please don't leave us!" I hear you all say. Well, all good things (and meh things like my updates) must come to an end :)

For a final bit of spice, I have added the original % of a player (the 'start' %) if they were picked in the top 10 of their line in the first Coaches Choice post on 24 Jan - if there is no entry here, they weren't on the radar in Jan!

Hopefully people have found these stats useful. Best of luck with SC season 2017! :D
