Move Hibberd to DEF and Adams to MID and play Newman. No problem :)
I've already been running Adams in my midfield and Hibberd down back for the last 2 weeks more due to midfield rookies missing. Guess he stays there for another week now

How is Swallow rested good? I traded O'Meara to him and he has been nothing but a disaster. Spends so much time on the bench and the fact that he now needs a rest? Really!!!
This clearly tells me has a niggle/injury and I cannot see him getting back to a 90+ average anytime soon.
Two players with long term knee injuries haven't been able to string together a full season between them. Time to enact plan B, and/or C, for those who started (and/or traded in) them. Plenty of $ to enable a trade to a premium with a good rookie.

David Swallow rested #SuperCoach
It gets worse for Swallow owners-

Suns football manager Marcus Ashcroft confirmed Swallow would be periodically rested throughout the season after playing just a handful of games in the past two years due to a knee injury.

“We’ve mapped out a year plan for David, obviously he’s missed a lot of footy over the last year or so with a significant injury so we want to make sure we can get him through the whole year,” he said.

“As part of that plan he won’t play footy at all this weekend, with the view to being able to play next weekend against Geelong.”

Yep, so Oz, so what options do idiots like me who have Goldy, Spencer and Pruess now have? Was hoping to spend the Gawn cash on getting in Sloane this week but I guess it's not meant to be.

What a train wreck.....
Sloane so overpriced at the moment its probably a blessing in disguise. Well perhaps not blessing but at least getting better value for your cash

You get used to train wrecks after a few years Drew.
Just checked, North play 7-25 pm Saturday night so we both have to wait until North team finalised 5-55 pm Saturday to decide what our next step is with our rucks.

Never seen so many rested/managed.

Francis plays 1 game and his rested!!
He's fitness is his biggest fallback; it's been a big issue since his recruitment. Not through lack of trying on his part I think; I understand he is very committed. (Although playing for the club you barrack for can often end in immediate boom or, more often, complacency). It will be a very slow process getting him integrated into the senior squad. Might take 2 more years. 4 more 'till he's fantasy relevant also..
Surely it was a case of always giving him this week off after playing Anzac Day. The kids had injury issues in the past, and I'm not entirely sure how his preseason has been, or how many games he's played so far in the VFL. But if anything you'd be happy that they are resting him given the short turnaround. He looks a star.

Has a tougher test in Richmond this week but after that a run of North, Melbourne, Brissy and Freo. Nothing to suggest his good form won't continue to me.

I'm ok with that. Don't think he will be rested again until after his bye. I'm confident they are resting him this early as a reaction to more than expected difficulties with him over last few weeks. If that doesn't turn around quickly though, and he is still out next week, he'll be gone. But I think they're just enacting their plan earlier than expected on him, and as such, I'm not that worried that, from now on, when he does play, he'll be near his best.

He was injured this preseason too. Was going well but for a setback early this year. Only played a couple of weeks in vfl.

Thanks CS, yeah definitely no surprises with him getting a rest with the short turnaround then. Looks to be a very promising young player. Hope he stays fit for your blokes.

Looks like trusty ol Bellchambers it is. The bell tolls in more ways than one for me there. Beggars cannot be choosers.

Certainly talented, but very fragile. Remembering in his draft year he only played the first half too!!! (the reason he was pick 6 rather than 1-3 tbh). Gather from the fitness team it'll be a slow integration. 2 years 'till first team regular in my view. Could be anything though - nice mix of Roughy and Goddard types.

Not sure if serious, but if you are considering getting TBC in, don't! I think Woosha's probably just giving him a run in light of Berger's 5 day break and because the Dees don't have a proper ruck.

If you can put 8 midfielders on the ground you might as well keep him and see what he does next week. He's shown this year he can go above 100.

Wish I had other options but seriously Giles and Tom Boyd is even worse options...lol. It is not like I have other options mate...lol
My season is royally screwed again now anyway so only really can play for weekly scores from now on. If I have one good week out of 17 weeks for rest of year that is what I got to keep in back of my mind.
I got to hope Preuss plays to have 2 rucks playing or bring Bellchambers in if not. I do not trust Leunberger staying on park anyway so whatever I do SC Gods have cornered me.
