Lots of mid-price players which is normally not my thing (generally prefer GnR) however there seems to be heaps of value in 2018 with lots of underpriced and cheap proven players. Obviously many have their injury risks and therefore can make or break a season, but things will change once actual prices and DPP are released, but for now I'm happy with it.

Looks promising on paper but no way you actually start the season with that, Blakely likely not backman, guessing your rookie spots left (of which you have not enough) are all 102-117k? that's unrealistic.
At least one or two of those Griff,JOM,Bennell,Del,Birch,armitage types won't even make it to round 1.

I know this time of year people just try to put magical looking teams on paper but i prefer realistically thought out teams that actually have a chance of starting. Like all of your premo picks

What's the logic behind going for guys who are injury prone but are capable of rebounding? picking a cheap one who can go 100+ makes sense but players who are expensive and injury prone don't seem at all worthwhile. Winning teams pick good players and 1-2 value midfielders/breakouts. Beams probably means 5 missed games, which was okay at this year's price but not next years.

U can access his heat map on the AFL app. Be very surprised if he is, but Macrae was a fwd dpp this yr an he kicked 2 goals for the yr, so anything can happen lol

Heat maps are either not very important or not important at all, what's important is where the player lines up at centre bounces. That is why Macrae was a forward last year and the number of goals count for nothing. Heeney often lined up on a high half forward flank and ran towards the centre after the bounce. I believe he'll be a mid forward because I imagine he started the required 35+% of bounces there.

I think I've read and heard it's centre bounces. Stoppages wouldn't make sense because bad teams would have a disproportionate amount of players being defenders and the positions at stoppages would be arbitrary when teams are flooding backwards or pressing forward. The only time you can get a clear picture of positions is at a centre bounce.

That's pretty surprising if it's true but you could be right. I think Macrae fits the centre bounce theory the best because he often started as a high half forward and would then pretty much follow the ball around the ground. Who knows but I hope Heeney gets that DPP.

Solid bar that fwd line, iv got Cogs and Redden at M6-M7 respectively don't think you will need to push to M8,
save for a good mid rookie on field and upgrade one of those fwds!

Same for me, after Heeney and Gray there isn't really anything that jumps out at me. Smith and Lobb could be good midpricers.
