I like McLean of those 3 who i’m seriously considering as a replacement for Billings

While I’d expect Greene to be a likely top fwd on average, I think the injury/suspension risk is too great to grab at close to full price. Menegola’s scoring seems dependent on opportunity and which vacancy in the midfield there is (completely unresearched POV I should add).

Who to choose out of Gray versus McLean?
This is an XvY I had 2 weeks ago and ended up taking Gray who obviously has not disappointed. We’re 2 games closer to his bye though which does change the equation somewhat but I still think he is a must have so I’d probably still go him.

Not that much separating them though imo

I hear ya there. I'm struggling to pick between Menegola, Gray and McLean. Will most likely be McLean and will get Gray after his Bye. Also bit worried bout Menegola ability to be consistent and at least get over 80 on his crap weeks and the midfield keeps getting moved around at Geelong

Kreuz to Nic Nat and build the warchest to prepare for bringing in Danger vs up to Grundy?
I have a similar choice in who (and when) to upgrade Lycett. The way I’m looking at it is that unforeseen injury aside NicNat should be good for 100+ average from here. Only way I can see going him over Grundy hurting is if Grundy goes 120+ season from here as I think I can find another 20 points a game elsewhere else using the cash saved going NicNat.

So the question is do you see Grundy going elite this year as per Goldstein 2015 ... he just might based on what we’ve seen so far against some pretty good ruck opposition (McEvoy, Kreuzer and Jacobs)

Still undecided myself ...

Trading Kelly

Danger vs Oliver and 100k
I think I would grab Yeo, Zerrett or Gray depending on your structure and bank 100k ish to use for upgrading a rookie to danger in the coming weeks. Should fall to 650k ish over the next two weeks.

Thanks mate, here is my current team

Defence- Laird, Savage, Simpson, Doedee, Finlayson, Murray (Brander and Naughton
Mids- Titch, Kelly, Fyfe, Zorko, Cripps, Coniglio, Kelly, Holman (Brayshaw, Banfield and Garlett)
Rucks- Gawn and Lycett (Olango)
Forward- Walters, Smith, Petracca, Curnow, Sicily, English (Ryan and Fritsch)
$129,600 in bank

Already have 2 underperforming/injured mids in Zorko and Kelly so i kind of wanted a top team mid to replace Kelly. I really would like Gray but don't like the early bye, but he will definitely be in my team soon. Will be trading Brayshaw to Either Spargo or Coffield but leaning towards Spargo, i am hoping ZGL isnt names until next week so i can trade Ryan to him. Next week i could also potentially go Lycett and Holman to Danger and ZGL

If it were me, I'd go:
Kelly to Yeo and switch Finlayson into the mids. Brayshaw to Coffield.
Ryan to Guelfi, Naughton* to Mirra week after
Holman* to Danger in Round 7.

*Could also switch this order around with DPP depending on who looks like making more cash

But that's just me, I'd try target all the right rookies first and then have a plan to patch up the rest of the holes. This plan is actually similar to what I'm doing myself to get Danger (cat is out of the bag!).

Thanks for the help mate! Really appreciate it. I hadn’t thought about that but I really like the idea, fair chance I run with it at this stage, would also generate a decent sized war chest

Crisp v McGovern v Rance v Touhy v Witherden

are any capable of being Top 8 defender ?

or wait for Laird/Hurley/Simpson/Yeo to drop in $$$

currently running Shaw , Sicily , Bonner , DoeFinMur (Murphy , OConnor)

would be a trade out option for Sloane.

Cheers

I like McGovern the most from that group. Ideally you finish your defence with the 4 mentioned but easier said than done haha

thanks mate , I like McG so think I will bring him in first.

Yes it is nice to plan and hope for the other 4 but then reality sets in :)

Not a huge fan of any of the first five you mentioned.

Would wait for Laird to become affordable. He is a must have defender.
