Bench one to get Henry's 114...

Billings (vs. Melbourne) vs. Fritsch (vs. St Kilda) ??
Crikey!
You know a Prem has really dropped off, when you're getting X v Y questions of:

"Play my Prem, or play my B-grade Rookie?"

I think now that you've held Billings, you have to back him over a B-grade Rookie.

Sooooo ........ from that last bit, I'm guessing you're wanting GWS to get cracking on some sort of a Father-Son type dynasty.

I have same dilemma except Petracca vs Fritsch. Only challenge if I bench Fritsch and Petracca is a late out, then a cop a donut. Any word on him?

Yours is a tough dilemma (I traded Billings to Mclean a few weeks back). Melb despite winning last week did give some decent scores up last weekend. Will either hate yourself for not backing billings in or want to trade him this weekend depending on how this goes. Fritsche could easily be 50-60, would likely go Billings how is more of a chance to give a 60-80.

Luckily petracca and fritsch both play for the same team so if petracca is a late out you can just swap and field fritsch and bench petracca instead. That way you will not cop a donut should Petracca miss.

This was the first cats game I have watched this year and wasn’t impressed at all except by the marking in the backline and Tim Kelly. The ball skills from both teams were average. I thought we were just the better of two average teams. Danger definitely out of form or playing injured. I think us Danger owners had better strap in for a rough ride until the after the byes even with some of the teams we play I get the feeling that even an average player could restrict Danger to a mediocre score. I hope I’m wrong and he plays himself into form over the next few games.

You sir are a champion. Dont know how I missed that. Was caught up on timing of Guelfi's game rather than being able to swap Petrock and Fritsch.

They awarded him a tackle and contested handball after the game, hence the boost.

Danger... meh. 108 isn't terrible... could've easily gone 120+ if his disposal wasn't shocking tonight. He's still playing too much forward and not getting as much TOG as he usually does... has to be playing hurt.

ZGL and Finlayson on the bench tonight. Fair to say I won't be taking ZGL's score, and will be left with a decision on whether to roll the dice on Duman or take Finlayson's 62.
Danger only really spent time on the bench in the 1st quarter. Outside of that he had 82% TOG which was one of the highest of midfielders on the ground.

He did rest forward a fair bit but all his points were basically from being forward anyway as he wasn’t getting anything around the ball or shanking kicks sideways and on the full when he did.

I was pretty surprised he got 108 and would definitely take that because it felt more like a 70-80pt game if it was anyone else. He had 6 clangers (should’ve probably been counted as more with some of the kicks) and only 2 clearances so id hate to see what they would’ve given him with a bit more of a boost in disposal efficiency and more clearances.

Thoughts about putting the VC on Macrae over Titch, I have Gawn as C. Just looking for a POD C option, Gawn sits with 20% C and Titch 18%.

I was surprised that at so many stoppages how he could stand by himself on the defensive side, where he could run forward if he got the ball. Selwood allowed to get plenty of the ball. Maybe GWS dont have the cattle right now to have players shutting down other midfielders. Are they like "bad" Geelong where there is no defensive element when the going gets tough.

Personally I would probably rank them Gawn (form, opponent) then Titch (average score to date, seemingly no tag?) then Macrae, but Macrae doesn't look like the worst POD to me.

Check out Thanh's stats here in post two:

http://www.supercoachscores.com/threads/3810-Round-7-Captain-and-Vice-Captain-Choices

St Kilda have had the opposing ruck in the top three scorers three times (including Goldy and McEvoy, who aren't world beaters this year) so I think that supoorts the argument for Gawn.

If you don't like him, then I think Macrae becomes more viable as GC seem to have given up somewhat bigger scores to mids (including some average ones) than Essendon. Both teams have actually given away points to some strange names ... not sure if those players were playing more mid in a particular game, eg, or if they're giving away big scores to flankers or the like.

Damn, I've been so busy this week I missed trading Finlayson to Zerrett. Think I'll get rid of Billings instead.
