Really battling with this one. Finnlayson is almost 100% going to Spargo so:
Holman to Zorko pushing Kelly to m9 v Doedee to Hibberd at d4

Have Fyfe, TMitch, Cripps, Dusty, Neale. Have over 700k to do two upgrades (one this week, Spargo in the other and one next week). Banfield and Brayshaw to be the outs.

Which two mids to bring in? Macrae? Danger? Or go cheaper options like Crouch and Oliver?

Finlayson vs Doedee?
In a vacuum they are pretty close.

Finlayson's clearly been affected by the injuries GWS have been carrying and Doedee is in a better team right now as a result. I don't see that much difference in the draw coming up before the byes for them so probably I'm going with Doedee before his bye, although its true Finlayson has the higher ceiling.

Who do I trade to Spargo, Finlayson or Murray? The other will more than likely be gone next week.

Im looking at Oliver, Macrae and Danger to finish off my midfield. Though can also see the merit in bringing in Crouch at his price.

Macrae's price set to rise again this week with a low BE, so unless you see his form dropping off it might be an idea to get him now....can afford to wait another week on Danger with a highish BE

FWIW I am bringing in Oliver this week

Interesting... Just wondering how Finlayson has a higher ceiling than doedee?

Kelly at M9 is a waste in my view. Averaging more than the D4 you are considering bringing in :) If you can't use some DPP magic to get Zorko and keep Kelly on field I'd be looking at other options. There also seems to be little evidence Zorko won't suffer again when tagged, and a sensible coach would tag him, in my view.

That's a pretty good list. I'd put the first two ahead of the second, and suggest Selwood as another option. Personally I think both Danger and Dusty need to show a game or two of good scoring, as mids, before I'll be confident bringing him in. Without that I think you're backing something to change in your favour (admittedly at a favourable price).

Yeah I locked in Garlett to Spargo and Banfield to Macrae on Monday, but seeing some comments about chasing points with people bringing in Macrae this week, especially as the Dogs haven't had the hardest opposition, so now I'm a bit unsure. Obviously if you don't bring him in now it will be at least a few weeks before he gets back down in price as he'd be odds on to have a pretty decent game against the Lions next week. He has scored well in losses so that's a plus if there's any doubts about his ability to keep this up.

So the question would be whether he's really likely to score more than the likes of Crouch and Oliver from here on out to be worth the extra coin. I'm flushed in cash, so it feel easy to bring in the shiny thing, but I would still have two upgrades in both defence and forwards to go, plus one more in midfield (though Kelly looks like he could suffice as an M8 for a while) after the two upgrades. I'm a bit tempted by Crouch at his price, but his bye is crap. Oliver with his BE is likely to increase in price the least out of him, Crouch and Macrae, so better served bringing in next week if I want him. Does my bloody head in sometimes..

Hibberd vs Seedsman vs Hurn vs Savage?

Currently in that order for me. I'd be expecting a 90 average as a minimum from this point. I plan on getting Hurley or Yeo next week. Thoughts?

Still toying outing one non-playing defender, Mirra or Murphy. In league, I don't like the idea of not having an Emergency, for possibly weeks!

Mirra vs Murphy

http://supercoachtalk.com/the-ressies-recap-rd-7/

Lachlan Murphy (154K def) amassed 21 disposals, but unfortunately for those Supercoaches who held, may be no closer to a return to the senior side despite a sizeable injury list.

For those stuck with him on their bench, David Mirra (166K def) was pretty good with 21 touches and 12 marks; not sure how close he is to getting another run with the seniors though.

A lot of people said the same thing last week and look what happened...if you think he is going to be a top 8-10 mid from here then bringing him in I say.

Macrae this week, then bye structure depending, Oliver or Crouch next week.

Being a Hawk fan I was bemused to see Mirra dropped last week, was very solid in all 3 games..... think he will come back soon

Thanks for that Maccas. I get the impression that there will have to be an injury, or 2, for Mirra to come back into the starting 22. Injuries do happen, so he is a chance, just like Murphy is a chance.

Maybe just go with plan B: OUT Murray > MOVE Sicily > IN Spargo, and hope for no injuries.

Often, all the planning done during the week is thrown out the window when the teams are announced Thursday night :)
