Bont performing well, with Macrae out for a few, throws a bit of a spanner into my guaranteed J. Kelly move...

Bont vs J.Kelly anyone?
I'd have JKelly in front. Has had the groin troubles but looked good against the suns. He carried it all through last season too. Bont is good too but gets stuck forward at times (although he might get a bit more mid time with Macrae out). Possibly has bone bruising too. I remember Lobb missed a few with a similar injury earlier in the year. Might not be as bad as that but it's a bigger injury concern than the ongoing groin troubles with Kelly!

I didn’t read all of this but I roughly got the gist. So to simplify things:

1. Kelly is much more likely to play next week than bont, bont suffered a new injury whereas no indication kelly isn’t fit
2. Even if bont plays it’s almost certain that kelly will be in a better condition even if like you said, groin injuries can be long lasting
3. Kelly matches if not exceeds bont’s scoring ability

Hence for me at least kelly is an easy choice over bont, there is a chance bont turns out to be a better pick, but that reward is outweighed by him having more of an injury risk. Kelly not necessarily has no injury risk, it’s just that it’s less than the risk of bont.
3b/ Kelly's role is known and defined. Bont offers up risk of time up forward and likely lower scoring potential should that occur.

simpson vs tmac? the decision is based on league.

tmac has gc, swans, wce, gws
simo has gws, freo, dogs, crows
prob TMAC for ceiling, simpson for consistency. TMAC if i had to choose....

edit - good point Macca, on price/value Simpson takes it

Ok 2 upgrades to go.
Had Lloyd and Danger pencilled in for the last 3 weeks.
If i do this it means ill have 16 this week.

Can go T. McDonald and J. Kelly and have 18 this week. Being stuck with these 2 for the rest of the year is not a bad thing by any stretch and i get an extra week of scores.

Could danger and Lloyd make up the difference in the last 10 rounds is the question? Or is trying to field 18 this week shooting myself in the foot long term.

Also what if McDonald is swung into a different role and stu*** his scoring.... also Kelly injuries this year worries me.
Thoughts?
Cheers

LATE EDIT:
Holman was my last upgrade so doesnt matter if i go Kelly over Danger I'll be field 17 either way.

Don’t compromise your overall plan just for the sake of the bye rounds just to get numbers on the park this week. I would stick with Lloyd and Danger as per your original plan

this is a tough question. i think the answer lies within the goal you are trying to reach. if its overall, extra points is going to help your overall rank. i dont think tmac will move postiions. he hasnt moved yet even though its been one round since leaver went down but i dont think they will move him. he is dominating in the forward line. he kicked 6 against the pies and 5 goals in the second half. he can also play in the middle. he is a really versatile player and it would take a lot for melbourne to move in. In relation to jkelly my thoughts are simple, if gws dont make finals and his not right then they will rest him for next season. a lot depends if they play finals.

danger and lloyd are really good options but i think tmac and kelly match them if not beat them. i dont think danger goes bananas until the finals come along. his playing a combo of fwd and mid. i expect that continue. it might change close to sc finals.

if your goal is for sc league, i would check where you are and if your safe for finals and you really want lloyd and danger trade them in. if i had to choose i would go with tmac and kelly

I'm thinking of trading in Joel Smith instead of Ahern. Money made deosn't matter as they will probably be there for the rest of the year and Smith gives me a link with Brayshaw in the backline as I already have Spargo linking with my forwards.

Does this make sense? Does anyone have any insight as to job security etc?

Harris Andrews vs Crisp vs Hurley?

Thoughts appreciated. Would be the final upgrade in defence
Hurley and the $50k cash in bank seems a good bet.
Andrews v Crisp for my last back spot?

Cheers in advance :)
im considering dropping savage.

crisp vs h andrews
I like Crisp. He's had midfielder type numbers (better) and with their soft run home i'm expecting him to score very well. If i could afford him i'd be bringing him in.

Both great options. I wasn't that keen on TMac earlier cos he seemed like an injury risk but that looks to be behind him. He has a bit of X-factor about him but Simmo is pretty reliable and durable (and cheaper) so i'd probably pick him.
