Cole V Austin for D7 (hopefully D8).

Should be okay for a team with this bye so purely a JS and scoring potential proposition.

Hopefully the last player x vs y question

tmac and hurley
simo and hurley or crisp or hurn or h andrews
Simo and Hurley, got a query over TMac maintaining his 4 goal per game average and others aren't in Hurley's class
Have both, not sure if the point difference between Simpson/Crisp/Andrews and TMac is worth the extra $$$ from a pure monetary value perspective. Don’t think TMac will maintain his current average but shouldn’t drop off too much, and his DPP is especially handy if you have Sicily. That’s why I’d take TMac first, his ceiling is also appealing.

Redman Vs Sam Taylor?
More in terms of JS as I have Ridley as the other bench spot (not sure whether he comes back in) and need a playing rookie on run home.
Feel like redman is the obvious choice but Taylor possibly has best JS with decent scoring?? From what ive seen of him looks really solid down back.
Edit: Already locked in Joel smith this week for a mid spot incase anyone suggests him.

Can't see anyone GWS don't have in the team currently pushing Taylor out this week, could be wrong. Probably has good JS for the next few weeks. Will probably be around the 60-65 mark. Redman has scoring potential, although he may be one quiet game away from being dropped with Ridley and Francis waiting. I'd prefer to wait one more week for Redman as he's only played one game whereas Taylor is on the bubble

Yeah exactly what I was thinking, the fact I got ridley probably means only one of them plays, will probably take the punt on Taylor and hope he remains in the side. Cheers Ro

Thoughts on Higgins Vs Kelly/Treloar?
Can anyone see Higgins matching or even outscoring them on the run home?
Keeping in mind Roos have a very very favourable run home.
I like him as a pick but not sure im brave enough, anyone think he will cop hard tags for the second half of season?

It would seem it relies either on Higgins stepping into new territory, his best 3rd of a season was the middle part of 2015, where he went 7/102, or the other possibility it could rely on is Kelly/Treloar crashing.
Either way, it seems a low % play.

JJK conundrum.

keep him or

Trade to de Goey or

Trade to Hurley via Sicily fwd.

Don't want to spend my small bank as planning on probably bringing in Gazza next week to complete.

Someone else around the same price mark?

Past history is something to consider but I dont think it plays a huge part in Higgins’ case. I dont watch alot of North games but his whole career hes played a half forward/back role so his career averages obviously dont look great. I do acknowledge what you’re saying though.

If I get Higgins in this week I probably complete my team with a simpson/crisp type.
So if I pose you this, Higgins & Simpson/Crisp Vs Treloar/Kelly & Hurley. Who wins?
Feedback appreciated

I like De Goey over Hurley which the numbers probably don’t support. I reckon De Goey would be fun, especially with their easy run home. Also, playing for a big fat juicy contract iirc!

De Goey vs Wingard?

Which is more likely to keep their midfield minutes as is
Tough one. From what I’ve read Wingard’s midfield minutes are looking like a regular thing but so are De Goey’s (don’t quote me on that though). Gun to head I’d go De Goey, even though I’m a Wingard owner.

Haha yeah always. The equation has changed somewhat though as De Goey has now had his bye but 60-70k difference in price last week and no bye to come for Wingard, I think he was the best option. This week though...

As a Roos supporter, my 2c is as follows:

Of the three listed above, I would go Kelly - based on 2 factors:

1) While Higgo is having a great season, he's not a player that will get your 30+ disposals week in week out and smash out some monster scores consistently enough. He is very much a player who will give you 20-25 very good, very effective disposals and score pretty well doing it. Just not at the level of consistency the other two you named might i but that's not to say he won't have equal to or a greater impact than either of them.

2) After knocking Higgo out of the equation, I'd go Kelly every day of the week purely based on the fact that his disposal is first class. Treloar knows how to find it, but half they time while blazing away, he'll turn it over (usually through his kicking). Kelly will be a more consistent scorer (IMO) than Treloar.

In summary, I agree with Rowan - Higgo is a low % play. Go Kelly :)
