I know Treloar v Kelly has been a hot topic here but how about if we throw Cripps into the equation as well?
I need one of them to complete my mids :)

As a Roos supporter, my 2c is as follows:

Of the three listed above, I would go Kelly - based on 2 factors:

1) While Higgo is having a great season, he's not a player that will get your 30+ disposals week in week out and smash out some monster scores consistently enough. He is very much a player who will give you 20-25 very good, very effective disposals and score pretty well doing it. Just not at the level of consistency the other two you named might i but that's not to say he won't have equal to or a greater impact than either of them.

2) After knocking Higgo out of the equation, I'd go Kelly every day of the week purely based on the fact that his disposal is first class. Treloar knows how to find it, but half they time while blazing away, he'll turn it over (usually through his kicking). Kelly will be a more consistent scorer (IMO) than Treloar.

In summary, I agree with Rowan - Higgo is a low % play. Go Kelly :)
Re: Treloar, that has been the case in the past, you'll find though that his de% has been higher this year though. Funnily enough, Treloar's de% is higher than Kelly this year, 69.4% Vs 67.1%
Danger 66.6% as another example.

What about Tmac vs Yeo? They seem to be two of the big trade ins this week around a similar price point. Yeo potentially more consistent but Tmac with DPP and higher ceiling?

Yeah not reading too much into that tbh. He's definitely been better this year than previous - you're correct there, but I have no doubt Kelly's will keep increasing as he plays more games coming back from injury (he hasn't played many games fit either).

He's just the better all-round player in the long run IMO.

As an owner of Treloar for the past 3 years his disposal is so much better this year. Basically never misses a target by hand and instead of just blazing away with kicks, lately he has been kicking it long to a contest or finding a target on short. The good thing about him is he is as hungry as any player in the league and will do anything for a goal / hunts for one twos so often. Downside is he spends sometime forward (which was reducing his scoring a little at times) and also spends extended periods on the bench (but not so much lately).

In saying that, I'd go Oliver over both, but if he is already in the side, I'd go Neale, Kelly, Treloar in that order.

Dawson vs. MID $102K Donut ??

Dawson was already one of my MID Donut options when I was doing my list up yesterday, and within 24hrs he's getting a debut. So with Ahern and Phillips already on my MID bench, do I get a playing option rather than the donut, given Phillips is a donut at this stage being out of the STK side. Also gives me one extra playing this weekend.

Donut for me. As trades are running low, probably not looking at cash cows as much. I think at this stage a looping donut from freo or weegirls may be more valuable.

Unless there are better looping rookies... I just had a brief look and saw freo and Eagles play a lot of Sunday games in the 2nd half of the year.

I like De Goey over Hurley which the numbers probably don’t support. I reckon De Goey would be fun, especially with their easy run home. Also, playing for a big fat juicy contract iirc!

Tough one. From what I’ve read Wingard’s midfield minutes are looking like a regular thing but so are De Goey’s (don’t quote me on that though). Gun to head I’d go De Goey, even though I’m a Wingard owner.
He looks like a jet in the midfield but do they already have too much depth meaning he may be pushed forward especially with Cox out and a lack of goal scorers

Already have Neale but not so sure on Kelly
I rate Kelly over those other 3. Callan Ward is another one. I actually really really don't like the Higgins pick with his age, amount of disposals, injury concerns, possibility for North to not win as many as they have done so far.

Curnow seems consistent but playing in an awful team doesn't help.

Bont is the best of the 3 but can throw out some stinkers, his injury is the only concern.

Outside of that if you don't have any of the following, I'd rate them above those 3: Oliver, Kelly, Treloar, Cripps, Ward in that order.

Yep that’s always a concern. With their draw he probably has the potential to go big if stuck forward anyway but you would much prefer him in the midfield.

This is what Hinkley said about Wingard today. Could be interpreted a couple of ways I guess.

KH: Chad's playing some really strong footy in the mid. We can mix and match - it's a great opportunity for us as a coaching group

Yeah I don’t mind the look of Kelly’s scores but can be score well with Coniglio in the team?
Not sure if anyone has ever looked into that but pretty sure Cogs scores better when Kelly plays.

And what about Kelly's groin? Is it likely to become a rproblem again later in the season?
That's the consideration of everyone my friend! Was the extended break for Kelly to ensure he'd be alright for the remainder of the season, or because the groin was worse than first thought? That's the question.
