I have a friend that broke his left scaphoid in 1990, and his right scaphoid in 1993. In both cases he missed the rest of the season, which in both cases, was 10 weeks+. He was the best player in the team, and would play with various injuries. Both seasons we played finals, and he would have given anything to be out there.

His doctor said to him, when diagnosing the 2nd broken scaphoid
"I've never heard of anyone breaking both scaphoids in their lifetime, it's like having 2 holes in 1!"
My friend replied
"Geez, I wish you hadn't said that, Doc. I've actually had 3 holes in 1 in my life!"
True story! :)
Must be why I've never broken a scaphoid. I might start laying up.

Been at work all day but heard the news on the radio, Oh Sicily...
As dissapointing as the Sicily (and Nic Nat - even though I don’t have him) injury is, it is a timely reminder to not be frivolous with my few remaining trades and not use them on 1-2 week injuries and save them for the “season ending” variety instead. There are bound to be a few more before the season finishes.

I’ve got two trades left, so with NicNat out and now Sicily that's me done for the year. Going to be along run home I suspect.

No way given his history, just hot air to get supporters to the ground. In fact as a Gray holder, I would actually prefer he doesn't play this week.
Yeah, Gray copped a heavy knock to the head, not smart playing him this weekend. I would rather him miss one match, then a string of them later, especially when the league finals start.

Oh, getting crowds to the game, yeah tell them he's playing and pocket the money :)

Doubt that he plays if there aas any doubt, especially given the current understanding around concussions. But sounds like he's pulled up well (for the time being). Still could be a late out if symptoms pop up later

Thanks Herb - just to ensure I understand, do you mean that he wasn't able to do more, or that he wasn't allowed to do more?
brief mention on the News , remembering 90% of media time is for the Crows , was that was pretty much all he did , so by choice or design not 100% sure

has had concussion issues in the past and is Port's most important player so I doubt they will take any risk with him.

BigRuss knows far more about Port than me so he may have more definitive info

Thanks Nate, that's fair enough. Not really expecting him to play (or especially play well), but here's hoping.

Sen1116 reporting that Adam Saad went for scans on his hammy and results were inconclusive. He's still sore, so they'll monitor over the next couple of days and get medical advice later in the week.
