That doesn’t sound fantastic for owners. If I had him in my team i’d be putting the E on him every chance I got.

He’s in fair nick for a bloke that’s only done 20 minutes of training this year!
Do you think? My son didn't think the white jumper was doing him too many favours on Friday night.
Good reason to have him loopholed, as noted

My inside mail this week is that Howe has a very bad corkey. No indication if it stops him playing, but add that to concussion it's not looking great.

Source... check my post history I also gave you Sicily's broken scaphoid hours before it came out.

Given he was all but knocked out by that knee to the forehead, you'd reckon J Howe would miss this week anyway.

Mixed news on injury front for struggling Saints

Ruckman Billy Longer has played just five games for the Saints this season

OUT-OF-CONTRACT St Kilda ruckman Billy Longer will miss the rest of the season after having ankle surgery on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, star defender Jimmy Webster is set to return from a right groin flare-up for the Saints' clash with the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
Longer, 25, has struggled this year and played just five games in the senior side after an injury-interrupted pre-season and St Kilda head physio Andrew Wallis said Longer had been under duress.
"Billy Longer went in for surgery this morning (Tuesday) on his ankle," Wallis told saints.com.au.
"We felt that it was probably hindering his performance a little, so he's gone in for a routine posterior clearance and stabilisation of the lateral ligaments.
"It gives him a really, really good opportunity moving forward to have a solid pre-season, so we're actually quite excited about putting him in early."
Backmen Webster and Logan Austin seem to have overcome their groin issues.
"They'll both have to get through training on Thursday but we expect them to be available for selection," Wallis said.
The VFL team has a bye at the weekend.

Key forward Paddy McCartin is out of his moon boot as he recovers from a Lisfranc sprain in his left foot.
"(McCartin is) starting his formal rehab. He's been fantastic in the off-legs side of things and is really progressing well," Wallis said.
The prospect of Dylan Roberton, who finished second in the 2017 best and fairest, returning from a heart condition next season is improving.
"Good news on Dyl though, he's been running now for about three or four weeks and getting himself in some good shape for the pre-season," Wallis said.
Defender Brandon White missed last week with a hip flexor and will again be unavailable while pressure forward Nathan Wright has started running in his recovery from knee bone bruising and is expected back in about a fortnight.

It must be Jeremy, as it really wouldn't matter too much if Daniel's leg had competely dropped off!
I'm sure his family and friends would care, as well as the Hawks Medico's . Wouldn't do their reputation much good. :p

HOWE, MIHOCEK EXPECTED TO PLAY
COLLINGWOOD is confident Jeremy Howe and Brody Mihocek will play against Sydney on Saturday night despite sustaining injuries in last weekend’s loss to Richmond.
Matt Scharenberg (ACL) has been ruled out for the rest of the season after also suffering injury in that match but Buckley said Howe (concussion) and Mihocek (ankle) should be right to go.
“We think the rest of the boys will stand up, that Howey will be right and get through, that Brody Miochek is right and will get up,” Buckley said.
There is good news on the injury front for the Magpies in the form of Tyson Goldsack, who will play VFL this weekend just 20 weeks after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in the club’s final pre-season game.
“He’ll play behind the ball and he’ll set up as a key back for us and will look to put his hand up to play some football that’s good enough to contribute at senior level,” Buckley said on SEN radio.
“There’s a few hurdles for him to overcome and to jump and the first one is this week for him playing a competitive game of football.
“He’s had an amazing focus and tunnel-vision to get back this year and to contribute to the cause.”

CATS COACH SPEAKS
Chris Scott has fronted the media at Geelong. Here are the highlights of what he had to say:
- Tom Stewart is "very unlikely" to play against Richmond on Friday night but the Cats will give him every chance to prove his fitness. The news on his ankle is better than first thought.
- If he doesn't get up replacement options include Zac Guthrie, Mark O'Connor and James Parsons
- The Cats will train at Deakin University this week where the ground has similar dimensions to the MCG
- Playing a smaller defence is an option given Richmond's lack of tall forwards

Scott: There are a lot of parts we need to get right to beat Richmond. They have few flaws and are predictable to each other. #WeAreGeelong

DEMONS INJURY BLOW

Jake Melksham will miss Sunday's match against Gold Coast through injury.

The valuable forward, who leads the competition for score assists this season, hurt his hamstring in the Demons' win against Adelaide.

“It happened in the second quarter, but he played out the match,” elite performance manager Dave Misson told the club's website.

“Even though Jake’s pulled up well, we don’t want to risk him this round.

“We’ll reassess him next week.”
