Does anyone have any info on Nths Kyron Hayden?
From the Prospectus:
at VFL level he
1) broke NicNaitanui's running vertical jump record at the combine .
2) below ave for contested disposals, uncontested possessions and tackles
3) above average for contested possessions
4) eighth- highest contested possessions rate of any mid-forward
5) poor kicking efficiency of mid-forwards and 4th-lowest of mid-forwards
Freako says: looks to be just a highlight player, doesn't rack them up
Will most likely play the year at lower levels

I was so disappointed last year when he was injured preseason and was hoping this year he would be in the mix but being listed as a rookie had me wondering what was going on and no preseason news this year unlike last year so sounds like one of those draftees struggling to lift his game to AFL level.

Those using a floating donut, who have you picked at this stage?

I’m thinking it will need to be a MID/FWD so have gone with Riach from WC at $102,400.

Been shuffling around a couple, Tobe Watson def/mid and Kyron Hayden fwd/mid.

Which playing DEF/MID rookie will you have to swap with Watson?

Do the Roos have a better late game schedule than the Eagles?
Before the byes I like the Roos late games slightly over the Eagles, depends on which teams the rookies around him are from for looping as well.
Whilst it's good to have a partner for Watson, like Duursma (don't have), there's also the value of the dual position when trading, especially early on.

Just had a look at North v WC and you’re right, North look slightly better early on. Hayden it is.

Walsh, Rankine, Rozee, Collins, Smith.
I'm considering all of these five more expensive rookies.
Comes at a cost of upgrading a mid-pricer to an extra keeper.
..haha but we haven't seen a pre-season game yet

Comes at a cost of maybe 1 extra keeper.
Money gen and potential on-field rookie points I'm valuing as worth it. For now.
And usually better job security too.
But the lower priced Rookies have the potential to make more money.

Some tame comments on Hore and Sparrow from the coach.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-02-17/dees-preseason-test-run-for-prospective-twin-towers

With a few key Dees in doubt for round one, the form of draftees Marty Hore and Tom Sparrow has been encouraging.

The coach stopped short of declaring Hore, an intercepting defender recruited from Collingwood's VFL side as a mature-age player, and Sparrow, a powerful 18-year-old midfielder, as chances for an early season debut, but revealed both were in calculations to see some pre-season action.

"Marty's a little more mature and he's had to find his way after missing out on the draft three times. He's had a really good summer and he's really emerging in our group and understanding the way we play," Goodwin said.

"Tom Sparrow similarly. He's come in, he's done the work and he's embraced what we do, and he's getting a great understanding of what is required.

"We certainly won't be putting pressure on our new players or our draftees to come in and play. They'll play when they're ready."

Brayshaw looked really good in the preseason games last year but turned out to be a poor cash cow.

…....Matthew Allen (WCE Fwd/Mid $123,900)…....Now aged 21...….Track watchers have been stunned by Allen's leaner body shape this summer, and now he is eyeing a rebirth as a hard-running midfielder – the position he grew up playing, and reverted to late last WAFL season. In the final month of East Perth's campaign, the raking left-footer averaged 21.5 disposals, and put his natural size and strength to good use around stoppages,......... "For me, it was just good to get some consistency (in 2018), and for the first genuine time in the back half of last year I started to get close (to a debut)"...…….

I didn't pick him, I'm looking at these selections weeks out and just conjecture at this stage but if I don't go midprice on some lines then I'm spending the money on relish with my salad.

North Melb.
Lock in McKay for round 1 mate. Probably won't be the highest scorer, but there is definitely a spot down there for him. I had us lined up with Taz, Maj and McKay with Thompson floating back there, and then all the injury news makes him a sure thing
Will definitely get a run @ it, wont make a heap of cash, but is a playin rookie on the pine.
