Seeing Parish, McGrath and Langford all named on the ball makes me a little excited. Hoping Francis and Shiel don’t dominate lol
Langford could be a sneaky smokey this year ;)

Langford, Parish and McGrath all have the potential to breakout in the midfield this year. Bit unrealistic to expect that they all will but one or two of the three would seem likely.

Would have taken the punt on one of Langford or Parish if they didn't sign Shiel , do they get less mid time with him there ? suspect they would be behind Heppell , Merrett , Shiel , Smith & Zaharakis in the pecking order.

Actually didn't realise both Langford & Parish are both F/M

You're right there's a lot of faces in there and not all can go 90-100+. Zaharakis is more of a winger than the others so he probably wouldn't be taking away too many points from Parish and McGrath. I see Myers and D Smith playing slightly more forward time and Heppell playing a little bit more off half-back to accomodate the new players, with Shiel playing the most midfield time of anyone. Langford spent more time in the midfield than Parish last year but seemed to be better as a half-forward with stints in the midfield. The prospectus and AFL stats say that Parish attended the 8th most centre bounces but was 4th for Centre Clearances in total at the club, whilst Langford attended the 4th most centre bounces but was 8th for Centre Clearances in total (Langford played 16 and Parish 15 games so you need to factor that in). Langford seems to have more of a defensive role at stoppages. Langford didn't generate many clearances but has a high kick to handball ratio, tackles a lot and gets pretty good contested numbers without winning clearances. Sounds a bit like Menegola to me as a type of player. Parish and McGrath have the most potential at stoppages in my opinion of the three and I expect them to see the biggest increase.

Agree .. had a few ESS players on my watchlist but not sure where the SC pts go ,,, not great for SC but good signs for the team IMO ...
