This is so spot on. The prospectus said he improved massively when he moved to the square from the wing last season.

His scores dropped down again when he was moved back predominantly to the Wing with Viney back during the finals.

He’ll be competing with Harmes to be in there as no 3 for CBA’s
Harmes seemed to start in the middle when Viney was back in the finals. I like Harmes as a pick.

Does anyone know whether Grundy usually gets a lot of kicks? He currently has 1 kick and 7 handballs and I’m wondering if this is his usual ratio. I’m not sure whether his injured toe was on his natural kicking foot, but if so, is it possible that he is protecting / favoring it?

Decided to bypass JLT 1 scores ... was starting to plug some in but there seems to be a lot of meaningless cameos clouding my numbers so will wait until JLT 2 scores before continuing most of my research .... still looking at role changes, team changes etc though as per usual ...

averaged around 9 kicks a game last season which is really high for a ruck

If Walters wasn't a shoe in for a monthly soft tissue injury, he would be a top 5 forward given that he is playing predominately through the midfield and probably will continue to do so come the season proper.

Seeing those CBA numbers for Mundy makes me feel much more comfortable with him at F3 for me. 14 of 19 contested possessions as well.

19 possessions from 21 attendances isn't that great is it?

It isn't but considering there was no Sandi (or Fyfe potentially feeding him the pill) and they were up against Grundy and a pretty dominant Collingwood midfield, i think that's a pretty decent showing in a shortened game.

Grundy having a good game but Lobb not disgraced. How much time will Lobb spend in the ruck this year?
I would imagine that is completely dependent on the fitness of Freo's first choice rucks, Sandi>Darcy>Lobb. He may well play second fiddle chop out even if one of the first rucks are playing.
