I'm looking more old school GNR than most on here. @PC snap to yours other than Burgess for me for his DPP over Petrucelle
I think GnR is the bigger risk this year with a fairly poor pool of rookies. If you have confidence in the rookies then all good but I wouldn't be picking a bad rookie just because they are cheap and named rnd1.

Thanks to all those calling my team GnR - I take it as a compliment :) I sadly don't think it deserves that much respect. I have 4 mid pricer picks including the Adelaide burn pair of Smith and Brouch...

From what I saw I thought Butters spent a lot of time on the wing. Ryder, Westhoff, Gray, Ebert and Rozee being the essence of their forward structure. Good run and disposal.

Will change

D: Collins , Scrimshaw (Clark , Hore)
M: Walsh , Setterfield * , Butters (Duursma * , Drew * , Gibbons)
R: (Bines *)
F: Rozee * (Burgess * , Parker)
Rozee is an interesting POD - is that for his DPP or a view on his JS, say?

At the moment he is there purely because I know he is going to debut ?

No idea about the 4 Power boys JS to be honest , Dixon looks like 6+ , Wines was training in the pink hat , Hartlett is playing SANFL Friday night.

Not sure if Kenny sticks with the kids if they get thumped a few times.

DPP might be handy again.

Have looked at Bailey & McCarthy as a F5.

Just guess work on a lot of rookies at the moment have a nagging feeling that those named Round 1 , 50% of them could vanish after 2-3 games.

EDIT

I could start him in D if Scrimshaw doesn't get named , not too fussed on Wilkie , Joyce or McKay.

Maybe McLennan or McInerney might get picked.

Fair enough, it's tough to know at this stage, as you've pointed out!

Can you start eg Drew forward and add Constable, Atkins or Scott in the mids? All three seem pretty popular, and probably better than some of the ones you mention ... unless the three I mentioned are the ones you're worried about?

No love for Blakey at all?
Watched a bit of him in JLT 2. Looks like a poor scorer with questionable job security and priced too high.

Same as why no one is considering Rozee imo (who has even better scoring potential than Blakey personally).

Haven't included Atkins , Bewley , Constable , Hayes , Hind , Scott in my planning yet in case they are not named , far easier to take out premiums if enough rookies are named.

Ideally would like to go 5-6-1-4.

Been working with Moore , Ridley , FHOF , Cousins , Bailey & McCarthy

I imagine tomorrow night will be fairly straight forward for rookies.

I don't think any Richmond rookie will play.

Walsh should be on field in most sides.

Setterfield i think will be on the field for most sides, but it's not out of the question that he scores really low against a really well drilled side in the Tigers. Not many people would be running a 'Donut to play' but would it be worth having Setterfield as am EMG in case he scores very low?

Gibbons will be on a lot of benches.

I was still hoping to see Bolta picked as he looks like one of those players who is such a talent that he gets games. If he is named with Lynch in the R1 team I will be very tempted.

Yes good point. Lynch playing is actually very handy from an SC perspective. Gives us coaches a better insight into Balta's JS.

Is there a poor polol of rookies? Outside of the forwards, there seems to be a fair selection of defender and midfield rookies that look like they'll play in round 1.

Round 1 isn't the problem. A lot of the popular rookies could be deadwood early. Everyone sweats on the failed mid pricers but to me the rookies being mentioned would cause a lot of sweating.

I’d probably trade in Bewley/Hatley tbh.
