I have B Crouch see how he and Rocky go these first 2 rounds. Rocky’s 44 touches hard to ignore. Over to you B Crouch.

So far i'm not happy but also not unhappy with my team. Only Cripps toning up but it looks like a lot of keepers have fallen short so far. Dusty, Grundy, Brayshaw, Gawn, Oliver, Gray.

Hold fast with your keepers, you picked them based on weeks/months of research and they will come good!

Wouldn't mind picking up Newman but 400k price is the awkward zone.
Interested to see how he does in round 2.
I might go early on him this week up from B.Smith, it might be wise to wait a week but I have the money for a 1up.

My only other worry is a sleepless/tired new father named JRoo.

Have Brad Crouch but I think I've got give some consideration to Sheed as well. Not a conversation for this week, but will give it some consideration for the next round of trades.

Gee Rocky is so tempting.
The def rookies have been a bit uninspiring and I've got three on field so a move could be to use my correction cash to go:
Speculative Mid Premo -> Rocky
Def rookie -> Worpel (maybe?) via Moore

Feels like a rebalance but I remember reading in the winner's summary the last few years they made team corrections early on that set them up all year.

Food for thought.

If Sheed and Newman look good again next week then I think I'll strongly consider a fairly risky move in Danger - Sheed & Collins - Newman.

Accumulators look to be favoured by the new rules and while I think Danger is still a clear favourite for the top forward, he may not have the separation from the pack I'd initially thought he would.

I've been very reluctant to change structures in the past, especially off a small sample size but I think if there were a year to do it, it would be this one.

Real high scoring footy so far?
This is a good point. The new rules may not be working out quite as expected so far.

If I recall correctly, once or twice in recent years round one has been a poor guide to how the rest of the season's scoring has worked out ... it will be interesting to see if scoring picks up. I heard a few commentators saying that a lot of players have been a bit fumbly, maybe that makes a difference.

I can’t believe that people are actually considering trading Danger out after a 97.

Wow that’s a huge change. Not something I would consider my self but interesting call

Angus Brayshaw may disagree with you Big Russ! LOL. BCrouch didn't get there and Libba disappointing.

The Bont an impact player yet picked up 29 possessions.

Sheeds had some history late last year and Rocky has prior history before injuries. Both looking in good form and opportunities from missing players. Matt Crouch had issues last year and does better when all the mids playing.

Dangers possessions were mainly forward.

One team has scored 100 points, 6 at 60 or under. Thought the rules meant higher scoring, doesn't seem the case.

The Hoff did well when many forwards didn't, meant to benefit from fast moving game.

Just mindful not back solving for a couple of players. Many games where few players +105 then others have 130-150 scores.

Remember the days when Birchall would go 120 in first 4 games then 70 after that. Coaches take 4-6 rounds before they react.

Newman history is up and down, surprisingly scored well with Carlton coming back. 50 I50 from Richmond on the higher side could be something that helps him, although Swans did use to concede a lot of I50's. Is he role more conducive to scoring?

For me, if I do a move, it will be downgrading a Libba/Brodie Smith to get an early bolter.

I wonder how much difference in scoring there would be if they allowed to coaches to impact on games via runners etc.
