In same situation as a few here, have a few not named/playing this week including Greene, Balta, Ridley, Hore and Hately. Kicking myself for not starting Rocky as I'd pretty much locked him in. I went down a Guns and rookies approach in mids instead. Trying to figure a justifiable way to get Rocky via Greene, but have no DPP links and not too sure I really want to toss Greene so quickly. B Smith in mids may have been a mistake but will watch him go round this week. Hately may struggle to get a game soon, not sure. Ridley JS? so could go Ridley to Andrews, then Greene down to Shultz, but no forward rookie is standing out. Have no Butters or Duursma. Might just do no trades with no cover in defence or forward and see what happens next week. Could get Rock if I went Greene to Shultz and Hately to Rock.

Had Greene last year,never again,even at that price. The roller coaster ride was making me sick ?. He will either get injured and/or suspended. Don’t know if Ridley is playing 2s or not today, but I have that dilemma as well,surprised he was dropped so quickly,but that worries me in regards to his JS. I’m leaning towards a trade.Parker,Drew or Setterfield would be the forward rookies to get,assuming you don’t have them.

I think it depends on if you need the cash to fix a structure issue next week. (For example if it allows you to get a Moore in to bolster FWD or DEF rookie scores and JS)
I went a week early on Duursma for Balta for similar reasons (running 3 rookies onfield in defense) but Balta was dropped and had an 18 in his scoreline. Even then seeing JRoo getting injured and knowing Balta will likely be back had me feeling instant trade regret.
Cousins had an ok score in Rd1 (72) compared to Scott’s (103) but they could quite easily swap scoring places today. If Scott backs up he is certainly a must have but his 103 only counts for first price rise.
So yes if the cash is needed to fix structure next week but otherwise I’d say hold if it’s just cause you think you’ve missed an early bolter rookie.
(As for my trade it seems to have turned out ok with Duursma perhaps improving his JS and port with two injuries but I was sweating on Duursma spudding it up.)
