May have to suck a donut this week judging by the player gossip. Too bad, would like to get Stack and O’Brien in $.

Yeah, not expecting him to continue to score 110+ each week but I don’t think a 95-100 average from here is out of the question which is fine for a forward.

I agree that we could pick up some good 400k fwd options over the course of the season but with the fwd rookies scoring so poorly, I think it’s reasonable to pounce on Marshall now to make it one less rookie up forward.
Things which have to go right

Marshall not get dropped
Marshall keep his form
Marahall not get injured

A lot to ask for a young tall with Longer waiting in the wings.

Just my take, I'm not very good at SC so I don't claim to be a gun but I don't see how Marshall would be a good pick from here.

Def: Whitfield, hurn, Williams, scrimshaw, duursma, Clark (hore, butts)
Mid: macrae, Cripps, Oliver, crouch, sheed, Libba, Walsh, constable (Atkins, Scott, gibbons)
Ruck: Grundy Gawn (bines)
For: danger, Heeney, Walters, Moore, drew, Parker ( setters, Balta)
93.8k in the bank

Ranked 108th

Not sure on trades as I have only done one, want Boak and Rockliff.
Don’t know whether to get rid of sheed yet
Personally I would do sheed to rockliff in your position, but I'm a rockyholic from way back so you should probably consult a more objective observer. Balta to ROB a good option for you too, I think. If Parker misses though, you might have to get inventive.

LDU to Rocky
Gibbons to Stack
with Parker, Drew Setters and Balta still in forward line.
$15,600 left in kitty.
Rocky to be F5

OR

LDU to Stack
Setters to any forward $508,300 or under. (Thinking Jezza Cameron, Caleb Daniel)
with Parker, Drew and Balta still in forward line.

English - > ROB locked

seriously looking at Marshall , didn't realise he is averaging more than Gawn , looks like Butters & Parker are going to stall so might be a opportunity to upgrade.

About 8+ prospective F3-6 going to drop under $ 500k in the next 2 rounds , and Marshall clearly out performing them , damn looked impressive against Hawthorn , at worse if he doesn't wor out sideways trade , still looks tremendous value for output.

Obviously comes with risk but has done everything asked of and more in 3 games so far.

3 games does not a Westhoff make. Not for me.

If trading in Rocky in leaves you with Parker and Drew on field with Setterfield and Balta as cover as much as Rocky looks good I don't think that is a good option.

Setterfield to a FWD keeper, leaving Drew as your only FWD rookie on field is the only way I would go.

Cheers Deeman, thoughts on forward keeper for $508,300 or under. Have Danger, Heeney, Marshall, Moore?

Daniel and Cameron stand out to me atm.

Is not O’Brien now a bit of gift since Jacobs appears to be out for while, as well as ruck cover?
If we get some solid info on Sauce being out for an extended period, I’m every chance to go all in on ROB.

I think he’s too good to pass up and probably too good a scorer to have sitting on the pine. It’s much harder to see him spitting out the odd 30-40 playing full time ruck, compared to some of the other rookies and he would have a potentially higher ceiling as well.

Please note, my side sucks just 2c
I am planning for 2020 already

Doc , Rance , Doedee ,(Gould)
Ward , Watts (Anderson , Rowell)
(Jackson)

was looking at players like Buddy , Tom Tom , Westhoff in the next 2-3 weeks so may as well have some fun and take a punt on Marshall.

I think, Cameron and Walters are a bit of a hail mary, TBH the ones I would look are Daniel/Billings (I know he gets a bad rap around here, but has been good so far) and maybe Mundy although Fyfe back this week could impact him.

At the end of the day it's your call, but those are the ones I would be looking at.

Hmm I'm starting to think that I might need to look at getting someone at F5 a little earlier than planned.

I think I can stave off having to trade this week by switching Moore and Collins (via Burgess), but downgrading from Nank to Mummy (or an even higher risk play in O'Brien) and upgrading Parker to an F5 / F6 type is suddenly a bit more tempting.

Should I sit tight or consider making a move? Doesn't have to be the moves mentioned above, but it would have to bring in a likely keeper F5/F6.

Fair enough, forward probably do something similar, some cheap gun players coming up in the forward line. No point getting the bolters now. We all play it differently, too late for the Boaks, Rocky’s, Libers for me.

Is only rd. 5, no Hail Marys yet. Opportunity may knock.

My biggest concern for you is that you've already used 4 trades and now looking to early exit two of your mid priced options, without getting the cash you'd hope from either. I think you need to convince yourself that that your theory Williams/Moore is broken first before spending trades in this way. You'll be at 24 trades with 14 premos. At a minimum 16 trades to upgrade the remaining 8 and that still leaves you running libba and smith, so lets say 3 trades to get some cash and upgrate them. That's 5 trades left for the season including bye round shenanigans, assuming you don't run a 23rd premo... if you're in a league of any meaning definitely hold, but if it's still pure overall, then consider, but I think you're flying too close to the sun...
Thanks for talking sense into me. I like to play aggressively for overall, but sometimes I go a bit too far :ROFLMAO:

I have my eye on a couple of defenders that are dropping and 1-2 mids I am prepared to grab.

Boak has been a complete revelation , looks fitter than he has in years , missed Rocky & Libba hope they both go near enough to 105-110.

Next wave of rookies in the next 2-3 rounds could be very interesting and intriguing

Boak has been playing where he should be, mids. After a few years of him playing at full back and in the grandstand, couldn’t pick him.
