I did just see that! Gets more interesting now.

In saying that I’m not doubling down this week as I have Darling to upgrade and Baker appeals more than Ross as forward rookies look a lot harder to capture than mid rookies so far (Hately and Hayes already on the horizon, but no forward rookies in sight).
My short term plan is downgrade mid rookies, upgrade fwd/Def rookies.

Do you think there's much risk of Graham taking Ross's spot soon?

Only really keen to cull Clark at this stage as other are either not quite fat enough or not netting anything like viable coin.
More mids on bubble next week so happy to pass on Tiger kids.

Milera > Sicily
Clark > Lockhart

One up/ one down next week

is anyone here still have Setterfield and is planning on keeping him to loophole ? or is the plan to trade him out now or the week after cause he won't make much more dough?

Both Hayes and Hately look like very good downgrade prospects though. Hayes has a year in the VFL and racked up a fair bit of the ball last week, reckon he could go 70ppg. Hately looks ready made. I think both of them will be worth brining in.
Good colour, thank you.

I can potentially do a double upgrade this week, bringing in Daniel and Laird ... but obviously that means skipping this week’s bubble boys.

Does anyone see any of this week’s rookies as must haves/in the very desirable category?

I am trading Setterfield and Collins in order to get Baker and Rocky in. I am ranked 50k my focus to give my leagues a good go now. Gets a rookie off the field, an ex premium who can do..well who knows what and a maybe good cash generator. Probably doesn’t answer the question.

Keeping him but think I might be a minority holder ...

Rationale: Albeit he hasn't shown a lot yet , I always was of the belief he wouldn't last 6 straight games without a rest anyway ... DPP with Drew and loophole option until I can find someone better ... don't really see any downside unless Gibbo has taken his role ... can deal with that later though if need be ... a few weeks rest and watching his side grab a win might reset the fire though ...

- Possible downgrades are Hately / Hayes but need to see another game from both .... attempting to get in the rookie downgrades that I actually set out to get rather than whatever is bobbing up ...

- Passed on Stack and might on Ross too ... a few players starting to come back in and not sure how long they will last .... passed on Higgo last year though which in hindsight was a mistake ... so that sort of mutes my comments somewhat ..

Deciding to keep Andrews, as his injury is listed as 1-2 weeks. Hope he can be a better POD when he gets back.
Pretty sure on the below trades, to avoid another back-line scoring fiasco of 4 rookies.

Collins> Laird (first upgrade of the season, yay!)
Parker > Baker
$300 left

With Milera out for 4-8 weeks (according to AFL Injury update), I reckon Laird is a sure thing to get his average back up to 105.
Baker seems to be scoring well and will make money.

Will be targetting a Butters > Hately trade next week, and possibly another double-downgrade if it looks good.

sorta does cause atm im running quite weak at m7 and 8 rookies (not counting Walsh) i have Atkins, Gibbons, (Constable, Setterfield, Scott) i will have to wait till next week to probably aim for a mid prem cause i need to build up the war chest.

good points here I too passed on Stack and also might pass up Ross after seeing Lockhart named in and am consider him instead just the matter of who goes out for me atm Burgess, Scott, Setterfield, Parker are on the pine, leaning towards Parker and Scott cause i dont wanna lose that dpp link i have with my d/f and m/f

Really keen to make some upgrades but I'm going to be patient and possibly even double downgrade this week and next. Looking at Baker/Lockhart this round. Then Hately/Hayes if they look the goods next week. Neale/Macrae/Lloyd had slightly down ish games so I guess I will look to target them in R8 with a double upgrade. Hind might be named this round with Geary out, so he might slightly mess up the plans.

Otherwise, the plan was to get Oliver this week. Looking at my side, all that really does is bring Oliver onto the field instead of Drew/Constable - I would be very annoyed if Oliver had another 80 odd and Drew/Constable matched it!

yep, there's always a risk. but i don't think it's high tbh.

graham seriously needed a run in the 2's, and i don't think just for a week or two. he has been a bit lost this year. ross has a high TOG for a first year player, scratch that he has high TOG for a seasoned player, i can see him staying in til cotchin is ready. we have been lacking a bit in the midfield and ross has poise beyond his years. in my opinion he would be very stiff to lose his spot to graham in the next 3 weeks.

Oliver I think, gets a rookie off the park, builds your side.

Parker>Baker
Moore>Lloyd
(+$700)

or

Moore>Lockhart
Parker>Boak
(+$97,700)

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm torn between these two options

Personally I wouldn’t be trading Moore, for me appears to be a bit of a rookie rock either in defence or forward.

Thoughts on these trades?

Butters to Ross
Collins to Laird/Simpson
Simpson is usually right up my alley but I’ve gone quite cold on him until he starts scoring consistently - check out his game by game stats, he may be more finished as an SC premium than cheap. I think role/rule changes may be the issue rather than age.

Laird is always a pretty safe bet and I think Seedsman and now Milera out could help he and Smith. I will likely get Laird this week, and Sicily is my main alternative def trade in. Simpson actually didn’t make my shopping list based on what we’ve seen year to date.
