@stephen and @Zagbag Dusty may be the answer for people who pretty much know they won't be able to finish their temas quick enough with super premiums. He may just be getting on a roll at a low 500k. I'm tempted, he would be my M7 atm with non playing and poor rookies at M8 and on the bench. Round 14 mid looks good too, Kelly out of reach atm.

Just on Balta, the low break even is attractive, but with Soldo copping a week from the MRO, does he become a trade in option if you don’t have him already?

Tigers have;

Bombers
North
Cats
Crows
Bye

He should be a warm body on field during the byes (Nank medium term injury) and I thought he showed enough yesterday. A little cash generation won’t hurt but he certainly has upside in terms of on field scoring during the byes.

My current plan is ROB to Balta via Bines (banking $145K) and my current rucks (Goldy and Mumford) won’t allow me to play ROB in round 13 anyway. This cash will allow me to move Baker to Boak.

Personally, I have an issue r13 (Hurn, Gaff, Heeney, Danger, Kelly, Moore, Hore, Answerth, Oliver, Brayshaw, Atkins, Bines), so holding ROB through the byes isn’t an option for me.

Would love someone to talk me out of it but it’s a viable option at first glance.

I think as alluded to earlier by Obie, use O’Briens cash for me. After all the idea is to get to the best premium side in a short a time as circumstances allow. O’Brien to Young via Bines, Scrimshaw/Duursma to Lloyd.

PS: so many good players are having a s#@t season, but in most of the good leagues so are a fair few others.
Bit of a challenge from here.

Hoff to SP Balta and bank 150k.

I like him and if he wasn't injured in preseason I'd have probably had him over Andrews. That said, my question is where you want to slot that 90-95 score into your DEF. If you have all the big guns and want a D4+ type, go for it.
I was keen preseason as well.

I don't have any of Hurn , Lloyd , Whitfield and to be honest can't see how I will get any of them.

Running Rich , Laird , Crisp , Heater at D1-4.

Can either go Duursma -> Garner/Hinge (no idea on JS or scoring potential) this week or wait a week and take the punt on Blakely now.

My season is well and truly over so just trying to find some value POD's.

I respect that. My advice (i've been there before plenty of times, perhaps even this year?!), go for players you like rather than begrudging picks.

Had to like that post as I've always used that mantra .... if I don't like a player then regardless of the stats I just can't bring myself to pick them ...

- Fanstasy to me is a by product of the game I love to watch ... can't bring myself to cheer on a player I don't like for one reason or another ...

Changed my mind re trades. Keeping ROB for now. Parker to Young
Clark to JJ leaves me $1700. Can use ROB cash next week to upgrade again.

Yeah Stack to Kelly was the trade I did last night to make my team look nice. It feels better than Neale because at least the leading pack hasn't already filled their boots with him. I will consider jumping early on Blakely for similar reasons but given there aren't any mid options coming along cheap we might just have to bite the bullet with one of the expensive ones. I can't remember it being like this before. There has always been a good 110 mid option who has dropped below 500k for one reason or another. Maybe I'm just not being imaginative enough.
Ones to watch for me - especially if a teammate goes down, in some cases:

M Crouch
Cogs
GAJ
Selwood
Rocky
Sidey
Zorko
WC boys when NN is back :)

I’m rating him more as a 100-105 avg but with a big injury risk, so maybe PIT90-95....? I probably wouldn’t get him if I rated his scoring upside as only 90-95
Blakely is a tough one - you almost have to jump on now and hope or wait until after Freo's bye and maybe risk him adding another 50k if he does look good.
