Is the absence of Cogs and probable absence of Mouch the universe telling me that to trade them in for 1.5 premos who will give me a chance of a decent score 1 week;

or

is it the SuperCoach gods sick plan to get me to waste a couple of trades so they can return next week and go 110+ for the rest of the season?
So traded out Cogs (for Cripps :poop:) and he appears to be returning, kept Mouch and he is not. It seems clear which way this is gong. Cogs to go big this week no doubt.

Looking at the JS of a number of rookies and how close we are to byes I’m really loathe to trade playing rookies even if they have maxed out. Wondering whether I might be better holding guys like Duursma, Scrimshaw, Hore, Gibbons, Baker, Walsh and so on. Means I’ll need to let Hurn slide until after the bye which works out better for my MBR structure.

Tough year for cash generation
I've been thinking similarly. So many missing players even before the byes means I think Parker will be a hold this week, even though he's projected to lose $19k ... which is as much as about five of my rookies put together are projected to make.

Are people happy passing on Marsh and Wills on the bubble? Or just other priorities meaning they need to be foregone?

I’m not particularly confident on either. Very shaky JS for both i reckon. In saying that, I will be passing on both this round anyway as it’s a RUC or FWD rookie that I’m bringing in for my set of circumstances.

Thanks mate. I’m inclined to agree re JS. Minor positive that Wills has been named on the ground in the ruck line, but the Pies aren’t exactly short of midfielders, and De Goey and Adams hopefully aren’t far away. Marsh is more mature than most rookies, but appears to have already been dropped once - not a good sign.

@Monya Meow Meow, I am also considering going early on Young, or late on Burgess (named at full back after Collins’ injury, DPP), FWIW. Young looks okay but obviously removes an option next week, which isn’t ideal. There’s a decent chance Burgess actually doesn’t hit his BE this week (40s), so in a sense there’s no great rush, but he seems to have the best JS of the lot, and a change of role and DPP could make him appealing. You’d hope he would score better in that role, especially once he settles into it.

@Lgndhen23, good to hear you don’t have to go digging through these sorts of rookies, hopefully that gives you another leg up!

I’ll likely just take Hately if he makes the cut, but I think I need a backup plan in case that doesn’t happen.

Can someone please remind me what time we get final Sunday teams? I assume it doesn’t depend on what time the first game starts?!

Before trades: 2 donuts.

Paint fence: ROB to Young, Collins to Hurn/Stewart, leaves me eating a donut in mids, not ideal.
Paint fence: ROB to Young, Ross to Dusty, no donuts this week.
Double down: Ross and Hayes to Hately if named and Young. No donuts. Leaves cash in bank and fat cows to upgrade.

I've burned trades this year, so I may have to compromise a little on my upgrades. Dusty appeals a little atm.
No DPP in mids making things a little awkward.
Thoughts or advice would be appreciated. :)

Definitely the 2nd option! Ross > Dusty + ROB > Young. You can't afford another iffy JS rookie with the crop you have at the moment.
