Bring in Young a week early or Burgess?

Burgess has better bye structure and provides great forward cover in rounds 12 and 13 and probably better JS with Collins out but is an awful scorer, is 55k dearer and has a 40+ BE this week (so could wait another week on either really.. (possibly Baker to the one I don’t choose next week).

The one thing making hesitate in trading out ROB this week is Fort. If he goes bang against GC with another good game he will be looking at a 3rd game with a massive BE.
JS is obviously shaky but just needs to play another 2-3 games to make it a good trade.
Or he may disappear after this round and won’t be seen for the rest of the year.
Almost feels like we need another week of information to make a more informed decision.

Drew > Young
Constable > Lloyd (via Answerth to MID)

Leaves my team looking like this with 17 trades left -

Burgess won't provide bye cover, he'll be your 19th score with a whopping 26 IF he's even named. Young looked solid and is basement price allowing you to cash out a rookie properly. I'd take Young.

So currently having to play Duursma, Clark, Answerth, Stocker (pending), Balta, Burgess with no backup on the pine, could total 200 points... Have both Mouch and Williams, also Moore and Constable... Was thinking Moore and Constable for Neale and Young (whoever he is...) meaning I don't have to play Burgess or Stocker... But will have to play Young?!
OR can go Neale and Hately/Wills/Atley and be able to loop Clark & Answerth but have to play Burgess...

Who to trade out between Moore and Williams? I had no plans on trading Williams at all but the whole season but with GWS a 1 to 2 week injury could become 4 or 5 and right through the byes. Moore was always going to go but after his bye and could be back next week and provide some scoring through the byes.

Having seconds thoughts about keeping Williams

If I trade out Moore and Williams I could get in:

1. Sicily and Billings

2. Lloyd and worpel

Trying to get players from the rnd 12 bye
So therefore Sicily nd Billings would be better
However I don’t trust Sicily and I don’t trust worpel, so both options have there downfalls

Can someone please remind me what time we get final Sunday teams? I assume it doesn’t depend on what time the first game starts?!
Can someone please explain to me what ‘painting the fence’ is?

I google defined it and I recommend no one else to do that.
Pretty sure it means one up, one down, similar to the paint brush as you paint the fence?
Could be wrong though!
Thanks mate yeah the up and down stroke is what I’m picturing after googling too
Yeah, pretty sure it started on Jock Reynolds poddies a few years back. I recommend Urban Dictionary...go on check it out...paint the fence.

Parker -> Young
Moore -> Stewart

Or

Parker -> Burgess (gives you a Moore DPP switch which would be great through round 13+14 byes and he has good JS with Collins out).
Constable -> Stewart (if Constable via Duursma DPP who i’d bring on for Stocker).
the only thing is Stewart has same bye as a turn who I don't have and young only played just the one game is risky going after one game and with the other burgess at 172k so too much to bring in plus that ship has sailed .

Round 13 I will seriously be lucky to even field 18 players the way it’s looking.

He has only played as a forward in the worst offensive team in the league.

Maybe he can notch out a 60-70 as a defender, we know he’ll definitely be seeing a lot of the ball down there.

Might take Young early and see how Burgess looks as a defender this week as his BE is 47 so I get a free look at him anyway basically.

I was seriously looking at Ziebell over Dunkley last week at 425k but his 64 the week prior scared me.

Goes on to score 140 and back playing a pure midfield role instead of forward.

Hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite me, he looks a good cheaper forward alternative to the masses.

Anyone got thoughts on a risky injury prone Daniel Wells @ $300k?
I don't see him playing enough consecutive games to be worth bringing in for his possible price rise. There should be more reliable fallen premium options in the 400s in the next 4-6 weeks.

Nothing wrong with not trading if the longer term options are not there. Might be a good round to just sit out and recalibrate rather than going early on a risky option just for the sake of a trade. Can understand if you’re trying to avoid a donut but if it’s just to replace a rookie fielded score not sure this is the round.

I traded last week just so I didn’t have to field Balta and look what happened there. ??

Hi all,

just after a bit of advice to what everyone would do with this Kluster**** of a team.

My initial thoughts are I would like Tim Kelly or Jake Lloyd with Fort (only rookie I have some confidence in) - I'm a cats fan and he has already offered more than big Esava so I don't think his spot is in any jeopardy for now.

Clarke & Drew for Kelly & Fort
Clarke & Scrimshaw for Lloyd & Fort.

If anyone thinks not to get Fort this week, what are my other options?

Thanks in advance.
