Think I will stay strong and not trade in a rookie this week. Really need to make sure any trade ins are on the park during the byes. ?

Traded out Drew for Young.

Need to upgrade Constable. I feel he's already made most of the $$$ that he can. Who would you all pick out of Dusty or Sloane? Any POD option under 550k?
I got Sloane last week and Dusty this week, lol. Sloane may cop Hutchings this week?

Just a bit of advice from a veteran supercoacher, while the bye period is crucial to our overall ranks, it is in my humble opinion these 2 or 3 weeks leading up to them that are more important. What I have found over the years is the amount of trades that I have wasted over the byes trading deadwood rookies for others with questionable j.s just to get 18 on the park. These trades don't improve your team for the run home where as trading under performing premos for performing ones does. So i would advise anyone trading in a rookie in the next couple of rounds to be certain that rookie will play during the byes. A trade is worth more than just a possible 50 or 60 points you may gain for a week. Now hopefully I will stick to what I have just advised others to do. :rolleyes:

Trades done, Hayes & Drew for Young & Macrae. Wanted Neale but messes with the byes so he'll have to wait til after his break. Apologies to Macrae owners as none of my premium ins have scored above their average the week I've brought them in so far.

I feel like this post has aged particularly well post game: Grundy - ????
Post game, looks like I might have been better off upgrading there and taking 2 donuts in my forward line (I had 5 out on that line this week). I was a bit jealous that I couldn't do upgrades anywhere else. Neale, Hurn, Grundy all went a begging while I tried to find forward line candidates. Moreover, R14 candidates and this person, so lucky are they that they can trade out a R14 player!

Stack to Merrett
OR
Atkins to Dusty

Both stack and Atkins currently on field.
I was about to trade in Merrett this week before I realized he was bad for my bye structure. I did read that he has a bad run for potential tags coming up, albeit apparently Shiel is an alternate tag target.

If pushed I’d still go the Merrett option, but worth considering. You know that Merrett will try.

My Duursma to Lloyd trade gained all of 7 points whilst cashing in O'Brien. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Is the absence of Cogs and probable absence of Mouch the universe telling me that to trade them in for 1.5 premos who will give me a chance of a decent score 1 week;

or

is it the SuperCoach gods sick plan to get me to waste a couple of trades so they can return next week and go 110+ for the rest of the season?

So traded out Cogs (for Cripps :poop:) and he appears to be returning, kept Mouch and he is not. It seems clear which way this is gong. Cogs to go big this week no doubt.
It took a week longer than expected but there it is. Mouch still not back.
