Place for discussion ranging from Professional Darts Corporation events/tournaments/updates to social/local/home results, etc.

Just flicked across from the cricket to see Italy equalise in the women’s World Cup.
Also was flicking around and noticed that another World Cup is on (Darts).

Is Simon Whitlock still going around?
Yes. Had the pleasure of attending the World Series of Darts event in Melbourne last year and after the event noticed him at Crown whilst taking a shortcut back to the hotel.

Via the PDC Order of Merit, Whitlock is currently ranked 11th in the world just £21000 off of 10th spot and also turned 50 earlier this year.

Australia have got some good young talent such as Kyle Anderson and Corey Cadby and will be interesting to see if they can hit the heights Whitlock has achieved.

The Wizard's bulked up a bit over the last few years I've noticed, par for the course for most pro dart players! We used to play at work quite often years ago, got a few 180s but my claim to fame is 3 red bulls.

Congrats. Haven't played social or comp but enjoy a throw. Cannot remember why, but started throwing opposite/non preferred hand a couple of years ago and the only scores of note have been a couple of 180's.

Should have a SCS meet up at 1 of the prospective tournaments at Melbourne. ;)

Would like to go to one of those tourneys one day. We'd have to get dressed up as Where's Wally, lol. You must be ambidextrous to play darts opposite hand, I'm crap with opposite hand. (y)

Wonderful experience partly due to the theatrics from the crowd as well as the great performances on stage. Purchased tickets early (when 1st released) so were seated at the front tables and from memory cost around the mid to high 100's. Attended the 2nd night which was the quarter final stage so got to watch some of my favourites (Peter Wright, Raymond Van Barneveld (recently retired as of the 2019 Premier League) and Gary Anderson) as well as Michael Van Gerwen, Simon Whitlock and Rob Cross in action. Also was extremely lucky to receive a match used Peter Wright flight after the match and also my relative who attended received all 3 Michael Van Gerwen match used flights.

Saw the replay this arvo and wasn't surprised at the result .... Wright is in some pretty good form at the moment ....
Has been my favourite player due to his colourful attire/appearance and antics since I started watching around 2014 when he made a late run in that year’s world championship. Also with his recent from regarding amassing 4 titles in the past 2 months, I wonder if he has finally settled on a set of darts after his constant adjustments.

1 Aussie will feature in the final due to Heta’s victory over G Anderson as he will now face the winner of Whitlock VS K Anderson in the semi final
