I'm actually surprised Bayden has made it this far...really flying under the radar!
Will be very competitive at the end too I think ... he’s likeable, has outperformed expectations in challenges by a mile, and will have a good story. I wouldn’t want to take him to final two.

True, although Luke is way more likeable and might be able to slip in with Janine, or do something with Baden or others.
Not good for his chances though. I’m probably going for Luke or Shaun (Shaun probably the better person, but Luke highly entertaining, fundamentally a good person, and I believe he has several sick children), so I was quite torn about who I wanted to go in this vote.

One positive is that it wasn’t along tribal lines, so maybe Shaun and the contenders aren’t necessarily out of it. The contenders seem quite strategically directionless at times though - they basically all just agreed to vote out one of their own and go down 5-6!
You're probably right, they might work together and take out another common enemy in David.

I couldn’t believe Pia, Janine and co were even contemplating that, but nonetheless they were (even advocating for it). The time for that is when you’re up 6-4, so you still have the numbers once you pull the trigger.

The problem now is that David needs to play his idol next tribal, I would have thought, and arguably everyone could form the view that he’ll do exactly that, so perhaps they don’t actually vote for him next round?

His gut feel is very good in my view (I think he only stuffed up when he and Luke used their idols, and from memory he wasn’t too far off) so he may even correctly identify that he doesn’t need to play it, if we get to that scenario!

So probably one of Shaun/Daisy next, then when they're up 6-4... try to make David feel safe and blindside with the idol in his pocket?

That would probably be the smart play. I think the three champion girls are smart enough to realize that next tribal is not the time for David, and he, Luke and Simon will probably all vote together with the girls again (Simon is largely just following, the other boys will do so because it’s logical to stay strong and just pick off contenders).

Shaun and then Daisy probably in order of priority, I would have thought - they’re challenge threats and the closest thing to a leader that that tribe has. Harry may need to start corralling them though, they could be an absolute rabble if someone doesn’t.

Edit: if David feels the idol (or Andy’s comments about an idol) have put a target on his back, he could play it next week just to clear the slate.

I reckon Andy will be filthy in time about just missing out on the jury. I feel like he was campaigning for a second season from the outset, and he was an interesting element of the game in some respects, so I wouldn’t be overly surprised if we saw him again.

Couldn't agree more, Andy would've been desperate to get on the jury.

Not a major surprise it was Andy that left, didn't expect it to be unanimous. Pretty much guarantees a Champion win barring an immunity streak, which I think Shaun would be the only one capable of. Nice way to throw your game away.

One thing that did surprise me was that two people (Baden and Harry I think it was) both can't write capital N's properly - not sure I have seen that from anyone outside of primary school aged kids before. Both had the middle slash part in the opposite direction to what you would usually see - they had it bottom left to top right. Maybe that's how kids are taught nowadays - it's been a long time since I was at school.

(Edit: Now I think about it a bit more, I realise it is probably a Toy Story reference)

Didn't expect even Daisy to vote for Shaun. Was the logical choice to get rid of him.

Tmr is the perfect time to blindside David.
That is what looks like happening from the preview, and is a smart move. Can't see it being anyone else - it's either a contender or David, with a very remote chance of it being Simon.

That seems like ridiculous play from the contenders. Am I missing something?
I think the Contenders lost Baden (due to his relationship with Luke), and that they simply didn't have the numbers. So the rest just had to go follow suit and vote Shaun.

If they did stick together, still would have been 5 votes to Shaun, 5 to Luke and 1 to Daisy. On the revote Simon would just switch to Shaun.

I feel Harry should have pushed strongly for the split vote between 4 to Shaun and 3 to Daisy. Then gather the rest of the contenders to put all 5 votes on Lukey. But I think the champions would have still put more votes on Shaun 5 to 2 instead. So even if someone flipped it would have been a tied vote.

Not sure if I'm explaining it right to understand.

I think this makes sense.

The contenders’ problem is that they’re not unified, which means they’re basically a rabble. You can’t play this game in groups of 2 or 3, but some of them seem to be trying to.

Shaun has an excuse this time (no real time between the challenge and tribal) but you will very seldom convince a lot of people to swing their vote at tribal itself. The time to lobby is beforehand, and you use tribal mainly to shore up your position.

When David was at the picnic, Shaun seemed more focused on what David was saying to Abbie and John, than on the opportunity he had to speak about David behind his back. In the reverse position you know what David would have been doing!

I really like Shaun, but he didn’t play it as well as he could have in a strategic sense.

I’m going to struggle to be rooting for a contender other than Harry or maybe Baden to win it given how badly I think most of them are playing.

Props to the champions for being down 7-11 to now hold a 6-4 advantage. Lot of that is thanks to David and Luke. David is just playing an incredible game. It's just sadly he's too big of a threat and needs to go. If this was the US version, I rkn David would win it due to less competitors. The Australian version has too many players (albeit only 4 to 6 extra). Gameplay suits more to someone who stays under the radar and then strikes/makes big moves at the merge.

At the moment though those 3 champion women are clearly in control of the game, just wish someone makes a move on them before they whittle down to 6 which by then it'll be too late. Abbey is too emotional to win it. Janine is the biggest threat of the 3... so she is the perfect shield for Pia. Pia ftw. I'm hoping I'm wrong though and something else happens which will make it more interesting to watch.

Daisy made a comment on her Instagram:
"Always stay on the right side of the vote" in regards to her voting Shaun.
Technically she has never been on the wrong side of the vote (from what I can rmb) so she can always use that to win a few juror votes should she make final 2.
