So the Universal Boss in his prime couldn't hit every ball for 4/6 but the Heat after years of thinking they can and try ing still can't , forget the bash and maybe learn to actually bat.

That sounds a bit much. Some DGWs have heaps of guns with an easy captain. The first round always throws up surprises and a few rusty players so par is not going to be as high.

What's a good round score/ average per player?

320/7. No idea if that's any good!

Last year I scored 1,185 in rnd.01 and was ranked #58 for the round.
I think I had 9 x DGR players.

I think you need to look at the average from last season (although averages are not everything) of your C choice and double that , then see how much Cutting needs to score in his second game.

Fortunately for me , I won't be locking in Lynn's VC score.

Lock it in for sure. Even if he gets a 30-40 the next match, thats 200+ points from your captain you’re locking in.

Similar selection for me (Hughes, Henriques, SOK, Curran). Think I'm gonna have to go that way, would like SOK but Curran less likely to be blanked altogether.

Heazlett/Stekette v Sams/Laughlin = 95 v 92

Who are you making "c"?
atm it's Curran for me. His form hasn't been great in Sth Africa but he averaged around 100 in the T20 Vitality Blast this year. And, if I remember correctly, he went massive in his 2nd game last year.

I got lucky, 437 with 11 DGW's to go, Curran will get the captaincy. Sams might have got out of jail but I am not convinced. Richardson
will be a popular replacement if Sams continues to get belted and cannot bat apart from a slog which his opponents worked out last season.
He was only in for this round and it will get worse when Morris fronts up. Bens Beasts we are still in it mate if i continue to get lucky!
