I think the budget implies c. 55 per starter. Competitive teams must be fielding 20+ “players” I would have thought.

Work on 50 per particpant to be ok.

If you have 10 DGR players this week, and one is your Captain, you are looking at:

9 x 50 x 2 + 1 x 50 x 2 x 2 + 50 = 1150

Nair and Steketee quite good for me, just didn’t have either of Green or Ferguson to give me that bolting start.

Will see how a late change of Cutting to Abbott goes, not looking that great so far.

Lynn and Khawaja the two expensive failures but will hope for the best next game. Banton too, although keeping is a bonus

Should've taken my own advice and picked maximum bowlers. In the end only had Stek, Sams, Green, Laughlin when previous teams had had them as well as Nair and Cutting.

Glad I chose Green over Tremain in the end. Hoping Sams is selected next game, but probably should be safe if Morris is still not available with the thunder winning this one.

Going to have to think hard about who I captain now.

Ferguson & Green superstars! However with the good also comes the bad... last minute scrambling I ended up doing Cutting to Z Khan. Hope Khan can snag a couple of wickets and at least finish on 50+ in his next game.

EDIT: Whoops I forgot to add Banton's score off the bench. So it should be 417.

Late trade cost me 40 odd points (Nair to Laughlin), and Bryant's dropped catch cost me 40.
To be fair, that's not 80, as one hinged on the other.

Still, just short of the 50/contributing player, so better than some, but behind the the good scores.

That sounds a bit much. Some DGWs have heaps of guns with an easy captain. The first round always throws up surprises and a few rusty players so par is not going to be as high.
