Steyn injured , time to scrap my trade plans for Round 2 & 3 and start all over again.

very frustrating

I would be firmly avoiding Steyn regardless of how fit he is or isn't

I brought in Stanlake for WAgar with the cash freed up from Harris to Wright (or Sutherland if named). Missed the Harris news yesterday otherwise most likely would’ve gotten Green. Fingers crossed on Sutherland as he would be handy in a double if he continued to play otherwise, hoping Wright plays...

His Average per game: 150
His new price proj: $148,725
His BE is -38

I understand where the $123k and 150 are and come from. But the other two I can't figure out. Is there a formula somewhere?

He attended Islamabad University. He taught himself to bowl in his younger days as his family apparently didn't want him to play. He bowled in an open trial and was taken up by Lahore Qalandars. He played club cricket in Australia (Melbourne?) as part of Lahore's development programme.

There are multiple "formulas" involved and I don't want to chew up this thread by trying to explain all the variables within them.

I'm using ones generated by @THCLT so you could trying sending him a PM and see if he is willing to share / explain them to you.

Rauf, the Pakistani player who has replaced the injured Steyn, was playing Tasmanian Premier Cricket so will just slot back into that once Steyn is back. Stars are hopeful Steyn will be back as early as their second game of the tournament.

Would not be picking Rauf on the bench as it’s unlikely he will feature during the Stars DGR.

15 wickets in the MSL seems to suggest he is in reasonable form.

worse bowlers than him seem to pick up Big Big Bash wickets

side strain is always a worry though

maybe your sources have more info on him ?

One of the great modern fast bowlers, no doubt, but he's really not the type of bowler that's going to succeed in the Bash in my opinion.

These pitches won't be conducive to swing/seam.. ageing fast bowlers just aren't premiums. He's all class and could surprise me, but I have grave fears
