I think its safe to call these now with only 3 rounds remaining..

Worst:
R3: M. Jones (109k) > A. Mullett (279k)
Mullett went on to gain about 100k for me and score ****. Jones would have made about 200k more and scored better. Lesson learned - midpricers are not worth it. The net result was -1 trade and -200k.

Best:
R13: Macaffer (355k) > J. Selwood (471k)
Selwood is the form SC player and is now the most expensive. Has scored 134, 54, 151, 133, 137, 151, 103, 160 for an average of 127 ppg after trading him in. This includes two captain selections of 151 and 160!

Brad Crouch >> JOSH SAUNDERS :(

Best trade for me was in round 13:

Worst ones for me was getting JPK over Selwood in Round 11.

General poor rookie trades. Kommer to Viney to Thurlow. Karnezis to Crouch then trading out during BYE.
Getting Grimes in TWICE. Once for his 13, and once again for 3 poor scores (although he delivered this week when I really really needed it :))
Berger to Nic Nat was a real killer for me in hindsight.

Nic Nat to Pav looks average this week.

So many worsts:

Karnezis>Hoskin-Elliot>Smedts (post lockout in rd 2 so 2 trades wasted; Smedts became Leuenberger the next week)
Kommer>Crouch in rd 4
Tex>Cloke in rd 5 (post 197)
Brown>Saunders in rd 6
Dwyer>JPK in rd 7
Stevensen>Webster in rd 9
Duncan>Lids in rd 9
Leuenberger>Hawkins in rd 11 (ridiculous that he was supposed to be out for 3 weeks, later Hawkins became Maric who has been much worse than Leuenberger)
Webster>Birchall in rd 12
Birchall>Gibbs in rd 14 (been horrible since I've got him)

Best:

Smedts>Leuenberger in rd 3
Viney>Steve Johnson in rd 5 (effectively Kreuzer>Johnson)
Monfries>Martin in rd 8
JJK>Minson in rd 15

Wow absolutely depressed after going through my trades for the year. Pretty much have been carried by my starting team with some absolutely shocking trades and only a few good ones. Imagine if I had traded well :S

I am going to nominate a round of trades - because like dropbears, they always seem to come in pairs for me.

Worst (Round 4) - Roughead to C Sinclair, L Brown to JPK
Best (Round 12) - M Jones to Barlow, C Sinclair to McBean

Wow, that best rounds trade is very lame :( (Mental note - 2014, do better)

ROUND 13
OUT Kennedy ($466,100) IN Naitanui ($605,800)

Best

Nothing mind blowing, just typical upgrades. Best was probably Moloney to Watson in round 9. Moloney at his peak, Jobe bottom. But I traded him out in the end lol.

Worst:
Neade > Lecras > Thomas > NicNat > Martin
Neade out was good timing, but Lecras was absolutely awful. Then thomas got injured, then NicNat got injured. Luckily dusty has been good.

Best:
Macaffer > Jelwood
Traded Macaffer at his peak and got Selwood at almost his lowest point, very happy with that.

Worst:
Macaffer ---> Daniher R13 (Tried to be too cute and get him in a week early)
Duffield ---> Birchall R5

Best:
Thurlow ---> Hanley R15
Tex Walker ---> Leuenburger (Before his price drop and injury)

Sadly, I see too many when looking through my trades history. These would have to be in the top few
Stevenson > Grimes (R5) - Grimes went down not longer after I got him
Blicavs > Gawn (R6) - Blicavs continued to go up in price and provided decent cover. Gawn wasn't worth it
Heath > Birchall (R8) - Birchall decided to go missing next few rounds

Best
Dwyer > SJ (R7)
Mayes > McKenzie (R11)
Terlich > Griffen (R13)

Worst:
Hanley > Birchall at 563k for a 10k loss Round 5, the week Hanley injured his knee & got suspended. Birchall went on to ruin a lot of people's seasons. Learned to NEVER pay 500k+ for a defender.

Blicavs > Gawn Round 6 for 80k profit. Gawn sucked me in, went on to do very little & eventually be dropped. Blicavs went in to knock out consecutive tons. Not much to learn from this one bar let your rookies cook & don't eat them raw.

Omeara > Franklin Round 8. We all know how good Omeara has been & how poor Franklin has been. Franklin now sits at F7 so not a total loss.

Vlastuin > Watson Round 15, Watson > Danger Round 16. Bad luck, nothing to learn here.

But what I believe the coup de grace for my 50k chances was, Leuenberger > NicNat Round 10 for a 145k price tag. Berger missed 1 and has been super all year. Poor decision on my part. Learned to NEVER trade players who have a limited pre season in, at least until you've seen 4-5 good games out of them.

For the best Zorko > Walker round 4, Jones > Selwood for a tidy 150k.

2 major losses & 2 big wins. pretty happy with how I traded this year for the most part.

Actually thinking on my trades, my Round 10 trade of Lonergan to Ball was probably my best this year - cost $300k to buy, now is worth $480k, is now averaging a 100 and a good POD.

This is one to answer off the cuff for me. The ones that irritated me are:
Grimes lasting 12 minutes
Thomas lasting 2 weeks
Ibbotson lasting 2 weeks
Birchall, not at a premium price fortunately
Deledio and Cotchin mid season
Trading out Roughead early for Leuenberger, was he or Tex Walker, picked the wrong one.
Nic Nat
Franklin
Hanley in and out, wish he was in
Fyfe started with, should have kept him when he was out early for 2.
Bartel, my last trade for SFA in Rd. 20

Best:
Mostly a fail here, no real good ones spring to mind, hence my finish of 43rd last year will be something around 500 maybe this year.
Pleased with my rookie choices and cash generation, got most of the good ones.

Rance --> Birchell in round 5 (for $563k) is defintely a bit smelly. Best in was probably Birchell and Maccaffer out for Swan and Gibbs in (round 14).

Was definitely "chasing last week's points" going after Birchell, a good lesson for next year especially when it comes to defenders over $500k.

Trading in Stanton over Selwood in round 11....
Forgot that one. Big goof not getting Joel Selwood in when he was even reasonably priced mid season. Been much better than I anticipated. Thought at the time, 'ducks, gets frees' pretty good player. Wrong.

Jacobs to Johnson Rd 8 - still reasonable enough value in Jacobs at the time
Worst
McCaffer to NicNat Rd13 paid for NicNat at a premium and he has basically just stunk it up
Blicavs to Gawn in Rd 6 was also not a highligh...

Worst (I think I have the worst 2 trades sewn up)
- B. Goodes -> Grimes, R6. Grimes played 1 game, 18 points, got injured for 8 rounds.
- Dangerfield -> Hartlett R2. Stupid sideways trade...ended up going Hartlett -> J. Watson in R3. So effectively went Dangerfield -> Watson for no points gained, and 2 trades wasted.

Other big shockers
- Heath -> Birchall, R8. Birchall did worse and worse and then got injured.
- Leuenberger -> Niknat R10. Should know better than trading in a player who has been injured for 10 weeks.

Best
- Broughton -> Leuenberger, R2. Jumped off the sinking ship.
- Karnezis -> JJK, R3.
- Dwyer -> Vlaustin, R7 (although trading Macaffer would have been better).
- O'Meara -> J. Selwood, R13

Missed opportunities
- No Oliver Wines
- No Tom Mitchell
- No Dean Terlich
