SuperCoach 2014 Forwards could be challenging depending on positional changes.

I assume Steve Johnson and Dustin Martin will be categorised as midfielders and if not, then presumably the Locks.

If Rockliff is categorised as MID/FWD DPP, then he will also be a Lock. I think Rockliff is 50/50 chance of being DPP as during the start of the year he did play in the forward line a lot, however later in the year, it appears Rockliff played more in the midfield.

Haven't watched many games of Bartel, but I think Bartel played in the backline this year (correct me if I'm wrong).

It doesn't leave many, midfield-type FWD. Perhaps, a few of the Rucking Forwards such as Ryder, Cox, NicNat could be the players locked. I'm not sure if the departure of Voss, means Zorko now becomes a SuperCoach choice again.

Buddy?? Old School Boomer or Nicholas Riewoldt? Pavlenko?

I guess Texas Walker and his namesake Andrew Walker could be options. Personally, I think Andrew Walker will be categorised a DEF only. I wonder if Chappy will be discounted and if so, is he worth the risk?

Assuming SJ, Martin and Rockliff are categorised as a MID, selecting the correct FWD could be difficult.

Open for discussion.

Franklin will be alot cheaper this year!
Rockliff definitely a lock if he gets DPP.
Dixon if he gets RUCK/FWD.
Nic Nat.
Any chance of Dangerfield and/or Ablett getting FWD as well?
I am even considering Jarrad Grant as a very left field option if he keeps up this form.

* Clark from Melbourne either in rucks or fwds, whichever he ends up as..

* Rockliff's spell forward this year might save his Fwd/mid status and has kept his average down a little too. Expecting Brisbane to make the 8 next year too.

* Zorko might be worth a gamble

* Franklin back to his best next year?

* Christiansen to gain some consistency if he keeps his FWD status

* Tex Walker back after injury

* Despite being burnt this year, Jack Watts breakout season?

* Cyril Rioli will be quite underpriced, can he stay fit?

* Jarred Waite?

* Sharrod Wellingham?

* Shaun Hampson may get a discount?

* Daisy Thomas also to be discounted?

* Chris Knights to be discounted

* Nathan Bock if he retains his FWD/DEF

* Daniel Menzel?

* Cam Hitchcock - will he break into the port team eventually?

* Luke Mitchell - might get his first game at Cartlon eventually?

* Brett Ebert?

Has to recover from the back injury first and I reckon it will hamper his preseason. Maybe an upgrade target?

NicNat, Christensen and Franklin locked. Strongly consider Motlop/Rioli or Wingard for one of my spots, then there is Daisy and maybe Tex. With a new coach (either at Brisbane or elsewhere if he gets a trade) then Karnezis is worth a look.

Ablett kicked 44 goals in 2010 and was still considered a mid only so I highly doubt he'll be given DPP.

Agree, I can't see Ablett being a FWD/MID. Just can't see Virtual Sports making Ablett a FWD/MID as theoretically it makes it a 21 on field game.

any chance pendlebury could be mid/fwd? minimum chance, but he did play a lot of forward when he was tagged(which is quite often)

I'm 99.99% sure Pendlebury won't be a MID/FWD, pretty much for the reasons Jay listed in regard to Ablett. Sean has played a few games as sort of a permenant FWD but its not enough to justify MID/FWD status. Wingard should definitely be MID/FWD though.

Can't really be stuffed finding the defender thread, so ill post it here :D
Would sidebottom be a good pick if he's defence/mid? been watching all collingwood games lately, he's been playing that 'sweeper role' for half the match, similar to dustin martin

Wingard is looking likely. Also Gunston depending on the Buddy situation.

Tippett anyone?

Dustin Martin plays alot of his time on the half forward line and deep forward. He would be DPP in my book. And if he is would be the biggest lock you could get (thats if hes playing for the tigers).
NicNat discounted will be great.

Buddy for me, given his contract negotiations will be gone.

NicNat is a lock if he has a pre season.

Tex walker should be well priced.

Rocky and Dusty will be locks assuming they play in midfield roles.

Boomer is a possibility for me, even Chapman and Winderlich.

I have him in my team at the moment but it will be his last three weeks ever in my team.

I just get the feeling that next year he may do a Brad Johnson who was consistent pretty much throughout his career but in his last season dropped to an average of 71.
