I'm absolutely stumped as to who to trade this round. 2.55m ITB. Do I keep chasing BE's?

Was thinking Stoinis > DC for the BE difference and the freeing up of cash. Milenko > D Short, cos then it's done and maybe Sutherland to Labuschane?

Stuffed if I know, might need to have a sleep and look at it tomoz.

So just to confirm, your team value is 2.55m not ITB, as you'd be upgrading all 3 trades to premiums?

Being first year I wonder how much value do we need? The way i think of it is $2.4M, is pretty close to the equivalent of 11 players @ $200K and 5 players at base price. Considering there is only 4 teams in R1 of the finals to choose from and then only 2 teams a round after that I don't know that you could spend it all anyway, that seems to be the feedback from others as well.

Still have Curran and Dwarshuis, but have adequate bench cover in case of another rain affected game, although the 2 heat players I brought in might be in the same boat.

I'm sure you all over it anyway but watch the Heat game like I Hawk, I'm sort of up that way, today has late storm written all over it and have a feeling it's going to be significantly rain effected, good you can make 2 of your trades late.

Thanks for the heads up, maybe I target 1 heat player instead. Has there been another BBL season with so many disruptions?

At the start of this round there are 22 players under $ 50k available to select , so once they remove the players from the 6th , 7th & 8th team we should still have enough "cheapies" for our benches in the finals.

23 players priced greater than $ 170 k at the moment , so $ 2.4 million should be safe heading into the finals

So they remove the non playing teams players from the pool completely? or are still availlable for selection and just become a bye player?

Depends if you are planning on getting Carey , K Richardson & Short etc and how you can afford to get them into your team without losing too many of your premiums, I think you said yesterday you had $ 0.00 to play with.

Sometimes you need to do your trades with the next 2 weeks in mind as well.

Maybe I am not that good at giving trade advice ? so probably better at concentrating on my own team.

All non participating teams players will be removed from the competition , pretty sure once a team is eliminated from finals , their players are then removed for future rounds as well.

Once a team is eliminated you wont be able to select players from that team. HOWEVER, if you already have players from an eliminated team in your team you can keep them as long as you like before trading them.

Can be handy for loopholing during finals.

Once finals start you realise there are a bunch of $42k nu*** remaining from the teams in finals to get done what you need.

I think from here with 3 rounds to go focus on points rather than cap growth, within reason.

Look at cutting for example. A low BE 3 rounds ago now the opposite and we are still 2 rounds away from needing him.

You can be competitive in finals with a lesser cap than others. In fact my memory of it is you can’t spend the cap you have particularly when teams with high priced players drop out,

Thanks for that really helpful, I kind of made the call a round ago that points are the priority from here as I think I have enough value, just second guessing myself with rain games, playing curran and benching sams does that to you!

Just had a quick look at Sixers & Stars

Kerr should be safe
Nevill
Elliott should be safe, Thornton

so plenty available

easier way to select would be the LRP's

Probably better off with Miller then , should at least play the DGR and who knows he might do a Salt.

Just need to work out your desired trade in players for Week 11 , 12 & 13 and the best way to get them.

Not everyone is the same , so if you are not planning to get Richardson & Short for example and are happy with your team then yes the DC option might be best for you.

Sometimes it is easier to back your own instinct.
