I'm a bit stuck this round, canes dgw seems risky

Stoinis
Inglis
Maxwell
Mmarsh
Salt
Neser
Morris
Khan
Dwarsius
Pattinson
Fawad

Renshaw, mcdermott, kerr, Sutherland, green

Thinking inglis to carey, fawad to Boland or qais and maybe one of my bench scrubs to Neville for a loophole, or instead of a loophole could also ditch Pattinson and have 200k ish for another premium

I'm thinking Inglis-->Carey if named. Then Jhye/Kerr on bench --> Maxy/Lynn. I was all prepped to get Short and finding it hard to actually spend the cash and still think Short could be a goer even on a SGR at home as others have suggested.

That would mean I am going with 7 DGRs and hopefully get payoff out of the Stoin, Maxy/Short, Morris and MM (at home).

Stoinis, Maxy, MM, Head, Weatherald (Lynn, Harris)
Carey (Dunk)
Rashid, Siddle, Neser, Qais, Morris (DC, Cutting)

Next round have Lynn, Cutting, DC and Harris and would have to go pure DGR in my trades to make 7 including Harris so again relying on those SGRs which again has me thinking of Short. The Stars play the Heat that round and we could get another all out 100 so Maxy may not get to bat much.

Very torn on my final trade:

After two trades the dgw players I have: khan, Neser, Carey, head, Qais, Wade.

Next week: ABD, Cutting, Labuschagne, Mujeeb, DC.

I can afford any striker or cane. Am I crazy to be considering D’Arcy short with just the sgw? See him bowling more under Wade.

Or is there a clear player I’m missing for this week?
I can’t see him bowling too much with both Qais and Rose. Rose has been pretty effective lately so I think Short might miss out while he’s in a bit of form. Rose and Short both lefties too, so unless Wade really fancies some unorthodox, I can’t see him getting more than an over. But We all know that Short can make a great SGW score with the bat alone. This is probably more true for him than anyone else in the game, and plenty of people are bringing in big name SGWs like Curran, Maxi and Sams. Short may be riskier because he won’t be as true an all rounder as them but I would probably rate him over all of them, especially coming back to Blundstone after itching on the pine for Aus.

That would mean I am going with a cap on the DGRs and filling up with (hopefully) gun SGRs.

Stoinis, Maxy, MM, Head, Weatherald (Lynn, Harris)
Carey (Dunk)
Rashid, Siddle, Neser, Qais, Morris (DC, Cutting)

Was Short bowling before he left?

Ellis in, Carey in, Neville in (need a loophole)

Mr Ellis shall be my VC Hail Mary. Got a feeling he’ll be burgling some late wickets in each game. Will 100% lock in if he manages 60+ first game.
I just came here to ask opinions on Ellis, am considering bringing him with the following logic

I think very likely he plays both games, Short will force probably Jewell out and as the preferred death bowler you would think he's above Rogers if somehow Faulkner pops up.

Couple of junk wickets is all he needs to make it worthwhile.

Carey confirmed for you.

Can wait for teams to be extra careful (don't get caught out with illness like Patto did to me 2 rounds ago).

Personally believe that he’s a better option than Boland despite the latter’s recent form. Think Ellis has been unlucky of late and will find two solid SC scoring matches this round.

I’ve been bullish on him for a little while for this upcoming double, so I’d be upset if I didn’t take the punt and he does well.

this round feels a bit of a mixed bag, so perhaps better to work backwards? Who do we want in R12?

The following feature in my thinking (have Lynn, Cutting, Mujeeb, DC):
- Richo
- Finch
- ABdV
- Nabi
- Patel
- Marnus

So, I might try to bring one of those in this round, as the should be decent in a SGR anyway.

For this round, I have: Head, Neser, Khan, Wade already.

So, potentially add two of:
- DShort*
- Carey
- Siddle
- Miller
- Weatherald
- Qais
- Ellis
- ...

I'd also like to keep a few of the big guns heading into next round to give me some flexibility in who to acquire.

Current draft set of trades: Inglis, Khawaja and Green for Carey, Wade and Miller.

Gives me:
Head, ABD, Carey, S Marsh, Miller (Harris, Fraser-McGurk)
Nevill (Wade)
Rashid, Maxwell, Morris, Neser, Qais (Cutting, DC)

7 DGR this round and as many as 8 next round (depending whether I field Harris or not).

Think I'm gonna go all in on Miller and make him VC - if it doesn't work I just roll back to Rashid.

hey guys, struggling to decide which 3 sgw players I should have on field out of Maxwell, Lynn, abdv, Christian and Pattinson. Or should I play 4 of them and bench short?
If it were my team I would swap Green with Neser and play Neser on field in your Bat, Move Green to the bench for Pattinson and bench M. Short (even though he has a double he may not get a bat at 5/6/7 and I'd rather take a gamble on say Lynn to go large)

I wish they didn’t lock out Darcy after the first game. If he plays second, given his scoring ability and BE would be a nice SGR pod.
If you think he's worth the punt... you should definitely consider taking him for the very reason you've just stated.
It's an interesting conundrum and I was considering Short myself, but I'd have to give up either Carey's or Head's DGR this week.

I'm considering Carey at the moment as I have Inglis who is probably as good a SGR stopgap at WKT as there is going around at the moment and he's dropped scores of 82 and 105 against his last two opponents - if he can do something similar then will the gap between 2 x Inglis and 3 x Carey be that much?

I also feel like I'm chasing Head's score last week by bringing him in this week, but even a moderate performance with the bat and a couple of cheap wickets will have him being a strong DGR performer so I'm less keen on leaving him out.

The other theoretical option which doesn't really feel like an option at all is to not bring in Lynn this round, leaving me with only 6 DGR's next week. I already have already have Patto, Labuschagne and Marcus Harris who aren't exactly amongst the premium DGR options for round 13, so not grabbing Lynn now + 3 premo heat / renegades players next week would make me feel like I'm well short.

The kicker here is that the issue I have with round 13 now would potentially be mitigated by bringing in Short this week and hoping for a heavy SGR score next week, but would that eventuate with the Hurricanes out of the running for finals, or would the Hurricanes just go through the motions in their last game away at AO?

It's a right bloody mess is what it is - looks like I'll just have to settle on something and the roll the dice with eyes firmly shut hoping for the best.

Instead of have to consistent rounds with descent scores I’m going all in at the last round
In: Heazlett, Christian and cutting
Out: Cartwright, Jordan and dwarshuis

Team
WADE, de Villiers , SALT, WELLS , JEWELL ( heazlett, Hales)
DORAN ( Harper)
Cutting, HEAD, Patto, Christian, Mujeeb (Green, Morris)

Will probably bring in K.Richo, Finch and SMarsh
