My Worst is actually a two week 4 trade combo:
Round 9, as some may recall, Thurlow and Webster were both available down back as down grade/cash cow options and there were a few premiums at a discount, can't remember all of them but Watson and Shaw were the two I was thinking about, maybe Priddis at that time but not sure.
Round 9: Out: Stevenson and Heath from Port (Not unhappy with this they were both ready to go)
In: Thurlow and Webster (Ouch!)
Round 10:
Out: Evans (Melb, Mid) and Brown (Adel, Bac) (Not unhappy)
In: Watson (Ess, Mid) and Hawkins (Gee, Fwd via Staker DPP) (Was sitting just outside the top 1000 before I lost my mind, Watson I can live with but Hawkins...)
Watson proceeded to score 166 in Round 9 and go up $40K after which he scored two 70's 130, 127 and 54 before I traded him out following injury for $80,000 less than I paid.
Hawkins had GC and GWS before the bye and was supposed to provide a couple of good scores, earn some cash and assist my bye structure. He scored 71 and 48, made $5,000 and then got traded.
Webster and Thurlow turned out to be average Cash Cows as Thurlow got dropped and Webster became a SuperSub!
Second Worst was trading in Duffield and Birchall in Round 13, no need to explain what happened to either of them after that!
Best: The pre-planned Moloney to Ablett Round 5 trade was pretty handy. Harry Taylor coming in in round 6 was good and getting on Tom Mitchell in Round 11 worked out.
All in all a pretty terrible year of trading and I am going to finish just outside the top 2000 in what has been my first year of chasing the overall score instead of league wins. Plenty of room for improvement.
