He is in my current team. Ready to explode me thinks! ;)
There is nothing statistically to go by. His time on ground is already up, he hasn't shown a big ceiling and sometimes turns a decent AF score into a poor SC score. I can only think that Zorko stays forward to give McCluggage more midfield time but then Ellis-Yeolman needs to go somewhere.
There isn't enough value to hurt non owners. I can't see a reason for the pick.

Thanks for this.
Could have sworn Cripps would of been one of those blokes with an exceptionally higher average in wins.

A name that I haven't seen floated on here (forgive me if I'm wrong), B Cunnington. Averaged 113 for the first 14 rounds including 4 games of 130+, but only went at 82 in the last 8.

Does anyone have any theories on why this sudden drop occurred? And additionally have any thoughts as to whether or not he could go at around 110 for the full season?

Historically poor TOG% as last year he recorded his career high of 78.5% and whilst possessing a contested game style, he handballs way too much and doesn’t accumulate sufficient ball to ever warrant selection. Quite amusing the popularity he had around the midway point of the season as an upgrade target last year.

Whilst I agree I couldn't start him (certainly not in classic), I have to wonder what was different for that first 13/14 games.

Did he start getting tagged or did someone like Ziebell move into the midfield more? If you can figure out what was the cause and predict whether it will happen again or not you could potentially have a 110 mid for about $50k less then those priced as such.

In several categories he managed his career best season yet only mustered a 102 average. Too inconsistent to be a season-long pick, approximately 2 dozen players I’d have in front of him for a mid spot and the form required for him to be relevant is unsustainable.

New coach.

Only went big against GC and in huge wins against Pies and Power. Other than that he sucked.

He had good scores against the likes of Brisbane (r2 - 159), Hawks (r3 - 118), both Port matches (119 and 129 respectively), Swans (r9-127), Richmond (r11-133) and of course that match against collingwood (that I'm sure both you and I would rather forget haha).

However most, if not all, of those came before round 15 when he only went back over 100 twice. You might be onto something about the new coach potentially affecting his scoring as after round 10, when Scott left, he had a few good scores in rounds 11-15 before his scoring really dried up from there.
